I've seen many things, but never snow in October. I live right outside of Philly, and the earliest I've seen snow is in mid-November. And the real big thing Is that about 3 hours since it started, we already have at least half an inch.

We're supposed to get 6" to 10" in central CT.

This really, really, really blows.

We ended up with around 12 inches of snow in my town.  We lost power at around 3:30pm Saturday afternoon, current estimation is that we may not get it back until sometime on Sunday (eight days later).

This is what I woke up to on Sunday morning:

The biggest problem is that a good number of the leaves were still on the trees, and a very wet and heavy snow had lots of foliage to stick to.  I have countless trees and limbs down around my property, and the number of downed trees and power lines that I've seen around town the past couple of days is incredible.
