I trust the decision of a judge over the popular vote. "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals."
I also give the judges my trust and no matter how the SC decides this I will accept it as law.

Will you give the judges the same trust, or are you just assuming you are going to win?
Sure. I'll always believe that same sex couples should be allowed to marry, but if that's the way the court rules, that's the way it will be.

I appreciate your honest answer.

So answer this.

Do you think that the fact that the age of the people who support gay marriage is younger is a sign of changing values or just younger people being more liberal.

When these younger people get older will they turn against gay marriage or is this special in that it isnt really about their age and more about if they have gay friends?

I think it's a genuine change in values.

I agree with you, but I have to admit I dont really have any facts to back up this beleif.

I also want to make it clear that my support for the rights of people to ban SSM is based on a pure Libertarian mentality and in no way shows any lack of support for the rights to gays to live their lives.

I understand that.  My personal belief is that the government shouldn't be involved in marriage at all.  But it is and I have a real problem with a segment of the population (even a majority) deciding to vote away someone else's right without articulating a clear benefit to society in enacting the ban.

And there just isn't one.  Appeals to tradition and religion don't cut it.

I wouldn't call it "values".    The world is becoming more tolerant and, along with that, alternative choices, choices that weren't acceptable at one time, are fine.

Well................that settles that! What should we talk about next?

No, you've got it all wrong.  You need to repeat yourself for another 93 pages and refuse to acknowledge opposing points of view.
