They do a good job of keeping their players.  I can't say I've ever made a list of "professionals sports teams who are the best at long-term player retention".

Kentucky.    You have to be a double digit seed and win a couple of games to be "Cindarella" in my opinion.  UCLA at 11 would be my pick to meet that criteria.

Not intentionally but here's the truth:   You go to a job interview.   It's goes like this:

Interviewer:  Looks like you made a mistake and cost your company hundreds of thousands of dollars 4 years ago.  Care to explain?
You:  Oh, yeah, I was a horrible employee.  Just terrible.   I'm better now but not that much.
Interviewer:  OK, thanks for your time.

That's sort of how I took it.


To expound on that a little, you're asking to be in a world I commish.   I like to think they are two of the better worlds in HBD.   Sure, we have some owners who fail or aren't among the "elite" HBD players.   But they don't start with "I suck at this game.   Can I join your world?"

I know that the projected ratings should vary from owner to owner, but I thought current ratings were the same across the world.  Aren't they set in stone?

Looks like MikeT just spoiled someone's 'trade bluff'.

If you could implament one change in HBD right now, but it was only one, nothing else. What would it be?

If a player says "making the playoffs is my main goal" on his FA page, does that mean a contender could get him for less money?

It's tough to only pick one.   I'd do an easy one and a more difficult one:
Easy:  Don't allow other owners to see budget numbers.   It's no one's business what you've budgeted for anything.   Just blot that screen out. 
Difficult:  Player development patterns.   They're too tidy.   ADV is useless because you know a guy who improved 10 points between S1-S2 will improve 4-6 the next season and 2-3 the season after that.   It just works that way if all things are equal(poor coaching, low training, no playing time will obviously have an effect).

I've yet to see a situation where the player didn't want you to "show me the money!!!"   IOW, total salary wins.

Why do my team's setup men have so many good friends? Why don't any free agents ever tell me they're friends with my backup catcher or my shortstop?
