Nope.   Looks like more people think it was a dirty trick than a brilliant move.

However, an owner caught trying to sneak an alias into Moonlight Graham voted "dirty" so there's that.    Another owner, who I blasted for a couple of real life years for trade raping n00bs in Hamilton, also voted "dirty".    Therefore, I'm not sure the "dirty" side has much validation.

If that makes you feel better, more power to you.

It sounds like the only affect this trade is really having on your world is that you're losing an owner who, A. You don't mind losing anyways and B. Might have been gone due to MWR anyways. I'm not sure what else you're looking for in this thread. If someone were to say, "No, lying isn't wrong, it's awesome and you're the bestest smartest HBD player out there" would that help? If someone in my world said they accidentally waived people I would look into trading for their waived players to avoid somebody getting something for nothing by claiming them. You wanted to lie to convince nicer owners to do you a favor so that you could get a strategic advantage - had I have been the nicer owner trying to do you a favor I would've been hacked off about the lie, moreso after you bragged about it. If I were in a world with you I would avoid trading with you in the future, but I'm not. If the lie would have made someone trade you something they wouldn't have otherwise then it would matter more, but it didn't. So who cares?

"So who cares?" asks the guy who wrote a short novel in response.

As I already said, I "bragged" about it because I got a half dozen "You dumbass, I'm claiming your players" responses.

I also don't like the idea of a team getting that pitcher for nothing so it worked out for the best in my eyes.. If the pitcher had been picked up on the WW it's the equivalent of a shady trade which isn't good for any world..
WW claims are not like shady trades.    The worst team gets first option.  Trades require two owners to conspire to make it shady.

I'll add that 80 people voted.   So, in HBD terms, they care.   You were one of them.

Persona I portray?   Pretty sure I'm the same in the forums, world chat and real world.   Some people like me, think I'm funny and some people don't.

As for the outcome, yeah, I think it's the same but I don't think it happens as quickly.  For the most part, I wanted people to know those two were on the WW and that I wanted to move them quickly.   Had I simply put them on the trade block and said "Availbable", I don't think it happens by 3 PM.
I wasn't trying to be offensive.

You come across as someone who is righteous and would sacrifice winning to that goal. This tactic doesn't fit that persona. That's all I was trying to say.

You don't exactly have to fill out a survey to vote - it's one click while procrastinating at work. Deflate that head of yours.

You don't have to write a book to explain how you don't care.  Yet you did.

Most of our disagreements center around the "integrity of the league".    I think you compromise it by taking advantage of n00bs in trade.   Coop has no n00bs.  In this case, I simply felt I accelerated the trade process.    I gambled, and pretended to do something I didn't mean to, by putting the players on the WW.   No one had to offer.

If the length of my post is the only thing you can pick apart then have at it. Well done. With almost 40K posts, you've got this whole "being a moron on the forums" thing down pat.

Our disagreements come from you making assumptions. You assume that my beliefs in how a game should be played are the same as the actions I take in game. If I wanted to take advantage of noobs I wouldn't play in a world where there is no noobs. My belief is everyone is responsible for their own actions. I am a independent and I believe people shouldn't be able to whine or cry and blame others for their own actions.

While I agree with you in the real world, HBD is not "real world".    Surely you understand the difference between me saying "You drank, you drove, you pay the price" as opposed to "Don't take advantage of people who don't quite understand HBD.   HBD needs owners and wrecking their experience is a bad thing.   And it creates an imbalance that can't easily be corrected."
