Game-time decision to change starting pitchers Topic

Starting pitchers are locked in well before a game, ostensibly to allow the opposing team to set its lineup. This precludes making a game-time decision to change starting pitchers. In the minors, there is a workaround--inactivate the locked in starter, thus moving the ball to the next pitcher, then reactivate. But there is no way to do this in the majors. Question: To better reflect real baseball, should HBD eliminate the practice of locking in starting pitchers, allowing a manager to decide hours or even minutes before a game to switch starters?

I'd be more inclined to vote "yes" if it was done before the next half-cycle(4 hours in advance).   I'd definitely like to have the option when the next full-cycle is an off day.
