It is most certainly NOT funny.

Canadian TV is like comparing the CFL to the NFL.  It can be decent enough now and then, but it's not an actual substitute.
you've obviously never seen kenny vrs spenny.

I have.

I wasn't impressed.

I've heard of some funny stuff they've done, but I've never managed to catch any of it... so I'm dubious that they were lucky a few times rather than actually funny on a regular basis.

As a rule, CanCon sucks until proven otherwise.

A commish has decided on his own to start a committee of owners that will have final say on issues within the league.  If the league overwhelmingly supported such an idea, I'd have no problem with it.  I don't like the fact that it was unilaterally implemented without any discussion.  It seems that decisions like this should be discussed and voted on.  Every change made in the past has been openly discussed.

What can be done about this?  What should be done about this?

Would you be happier if the commish made the decisions without discussion?

That's exactly what he did.  Now he'll discuss it with his buddies.  Either way, it's bad for the league.

It's in ABU btw in case that surprises you.

No, I'm not surprised but I don't know how many "league issues" require discussion.  Unless I'm changing world policy, I don't spend a lot of time voting/discussing.   Sometimes, when changing world policy, it's just a simple "OK, beginning next season, this is how it works.  Object now or forever hold your peace."

By the way, the solution is to talk with your feet.  Don't put that * next to your name when the time comes.

Of, if it really disturbs you and you can't bear to lose your team, rally the troops and get 9 other owners to post in the world chat who they want as new commish.   If you get a 10 man voting bloc, WifS' policy requires them to replace the commish.

This was "I'm changing world policies, now only these 6 owners have a say and none of the rest of you matter" - no chance to object.  He's become a bigger dictator than you, and that's pretty hard to do.

I gave you the solution or solutions.

Play a winner-take-all game of Nomic among all 32 owners, with the winner deciding whether or not the commish can unilaterally pseudo-dilute their own power.
