INTL FA Offer Cancelled Topic

I am bidding on and INTL FA in one of my worlds. I had the top bid on two separate occasions. I check regularly to make sure I am the top bid and if not I up my offer. On two separate occasions I have had my offer cancelled but I did not cancel it nor would I even consider cancelling it. Has anyone else ever had their top offer cancelled when they did not do it, and if so what was the solution? I have a ticket to CS but I'm still waiting to hear back.

Did you make another move that put you over-budget when accounting for your offer?

By canceled you mean "withdrawn"?

Only thing I can think of at the moment is that your rookie team was below 25, so AI went and auto-signed some picks for you, which cut into your prospect budget and made it so you couldn't afford the offer you made to the IFA. Not likely, but my first thought as a possible explanation.

I have a little over $3M I can add to the offer if I have to. My rookie team is full, as are all my other teams (full being 25 man roster full). So I have plenty of money to offer and room for the guy once signed. When I say cancelled I mean my offers show up as cancelled http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/GM/ProspectNegotiations.aspx. I have no explanation for what happened and I've been checking once per cycle to make sure I have the top offer but after the latest cycle my #1 bubble was gone and that is how the negotiation page looked when I went to see what was going on. This is the second time this has happened with this guy and it has never happened to me before.

The links aren't World specific because of cookies (that just takes me to my own World page). Can you post a screenshot maybe? I don't think I've ever seen a "cancelled" message...

How much room do you have in player buget?  If you're right up against it, promoting a guy or 2 could leave you w/ no room so that your 8k or $325k rookie season offer (plus bonus) puts you over your player payroll for the current season.

Sorry that is the best I can do right now.

Another shot in the dark here...

Perhaps, when Admin was considering capping the prospect expenditures at $30M, they wrote the code and had it all set to go live, then forgot to take it out when they changed their mind, so the current offer you're making is being "cancelled" because it takes you over the (never technically implemented but planned) $30M prospect cap?

You seem to be in good shape with payroll and prospect budgets otherwise, so I'm trying to come up with any possible explanation. I'd be interested in hearing their ticket response though, so please share it when you hear back.

I'll try and find this post once I get the response. They weren't helpful with another issue I had in a different world where my budgets weren't saved (in two separate seasons) so I'm not sure they will be much help here.

Similar, but not identical, bug described here.  But I'm not sure how you proceed given this information... is there an offer previous to $12,163,500 that you can withdraw?

No, I took over a team mid-season this year w/ like a $14 mil payroll, and nothing of worth on the FA market (it was around draft time), so I transferred everything to prospect payroll and had like $42 or $42 mil in my prospect payroll buget.

dedelman I'm not sure that is what is happening here. I just checked my trade screens and there was nothing to match what was going on in the other issue. I did however withdraw everything and then sent the offer as it was before. Hopefully it goes through but I have a ticket to CS so I'm looking forward to hear what they have to say.

Did you spend more than $30M of it on split guys? More than one, not one stud.

I re-sent the offer and the guy signed this cycle. There is definitely something that went wrong earlier but CS offered no explanation. They said I was likely over-budget but I've shown clearly I wouldn't have been.
