90 Durability in LF/162 games? Topic

Can a guy with 90 durability play all 162 games at 100% in LF?

Probably.   It also depends on how many AB he gets.  And if he's replaced in blowouts or for a D-Replacement.

I can get 155-160 for 85-87 DUR at C/SS.

No reason to force the issue though.  Let him sit during interleague games (i think they pop up roughly 4-6 at a time), and you're almost assured he'll be 100% for the more important division games.  Most teams finish the year with 10 of their last 13 games in the division.  It's probably better to have him 100% for those games.

Herbert Lieberthal played 1134 consecutive game (plus ST and playoffs every season) over 7 seasons, I'm pretty sure all at 100% (definitely first 6 seasons).

He was a 1B not LF, but those are next to one another on the spectrum (so presumably close for fatigue purposes) and he did most of it as 88 Dur instead of a 90. We scored runs back then too, so he got ~ 730 PA per season. Unless your team really kills the ball and your guy logs a *ton* of PA, he should be good to go at 100%.

Thanks guys...

Hey zbrent...where do I find that fatigue spectrum?  That would help!  Thanks...

In Dev Chats, I think Admin has said that they use something like a modified version of Bill James' defensive spectrum for difficulty/substitutions/etc. I don't know that it's ever been fully explained how it was modified.

They've also indicated that player fatigue is influenced by position played, given the example of a SS fatiguing more quickly than a 1B. I *think* then, that the defensive spectrum is a decent guideline for predicting fatigue impacts.

SS-2B-CF-3B-RF-LF-1B.

For HBD purposes, I think Catcher is treated as it's own animal, distinct from the spectrum.

Thanks guys.  I benched him for a game.  But he came off the bench to hit a 3-run PH homer in the 9th.  Alas...we lost! But he's back in the lineup everyday!
