At the time I was explaining why people were concerned about Alias and didnt think I was attacking him in anyway.  I even said, "Not questioning you" and even threw in a "Good Luck"
Is that like saying "No offense intended" and then saying something blatantly offensive or "Nothing personal" and then getting very personal?

I'm curious as to what the point of aliases is in cases like this.  I can understand if you want to use it to get the hang of something first, so you don't tarnish the rating of your primary user name, but where's the satisfaction in creating a new name every few months, raping a few worlds to get some championships and disappearing?  What exactly are you paying for?  You're not getting any (good) recognition for your achievements and you know you're essentially cheating the system to get them.  Makes no sense to me.

I think its because you already screwed up your old name so now you have to create a new name if you want to get into any private worlds

LOL, Talladega Nights...

"With all due respect, I didn't realize you'd gotten experimental surgery to get your balls removed."

"What'd you say to me?"

"Woah, woah.  I said, 'With all due respect.'"

"That doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want to me!"

"It sure as heck does.  It's in the Geneva Convention."

Of course, this is when goofy went crazy on the message center in our world, screaming that I'm an alias person and that I was trying to do the league in. Gee, I wonder why I didn't take kindly to that?

and his defition of me screaming is...

"leslie? if your not using an alias your made a very interesting signing for someone who has plans to be here for a while..."

so assuming you are a new player and you've made simple mistakes we can offer you advice on how not to remake those same mistakes.  Just dont get offended when you get questioned on a move.

First mistake - Hall didnt need a 5 year deal.  Same money x 3 probably would have done it.
Second mistake - Boewen was the best available, and got 91 million over 5.  There were 3-4 other good pitchers available ahead of hall that got a lot less then boewen.  Dong could have been had for 70 million.  Clark for 60 million.  Bass could have been had for 30 million.    These are the types of deals you are going to have to dish out to get a type a pitcher.
Third mistake - When I asked you about the contract you could have said, what is wrong with it? instead of "No matter what anyone says, you just continue with your paranoid nonsense. Seems you have nothing better to do than policing everyone else's activities. Life is too short to listen to weirdos like you. Block put on all of your messages."  I would have sent you a private chat and offered help.

lesliechow. If you are legit, play your games, stay in the worlds, and dont worry about what anyone accusses you of. If you do nothing wrong--beyond rookie mistakes of signing old guys to huge contracts--this will pass. If you are an alias, keep writing pages upon pages of responses to try and convince the unconvinceable otherwise.

to follow up what dmurphy said...

If you own a convenience store and you have problems with theft, you put measures in place to deal with it and you start to recognize what it looks like when someone's trying to steal.  If you think someone is trying to steal something, you question them.  If you can't prove anything, you move on, but you certainly remain suspicious, and you'll be watching them if they ever come in your store again.

That's what's happening here.  If you're not an alias, hide away for a bit, find a few folks you can bounce questions off of, and play the game.

Ya, but then why start doing the same things and trashing the new name?  Maybe some people just like the negative attention.

Nothing that you folks are saying makes any sense.  I haven't stolen anything.  I haven't broken any rules.  I haven't left any worlds.  I'm simply trying to play the game the best I can.  I absolutely cannot believe that people act like this towards a new person coming in to play a game with fake players.  So, basically because one user puts something on the internet saying that I'm doing this or that, even though there is absolutely no evidence of it being true, it's taken as truth.

It's interesting that I have zero problems in all of my other 6 worlds.  Also, there are owners in the Hornsby world that have sent me private messages of support, as well as a couple that have spoken out in the world chat against the Oriole guy.  I can't read what the guy says because I've blocked him, but apparently he just keeps the pot stirred up constantly.  Other owners have tried to calm him down, change the subject matter on the board, but nothing seems to work.  Sounds like a great guy to follow down the primrose path.

I'm done with the forums for awhile, as it just makes me upset to read them anymore.  They used to be a fun and interactive way for me to learn and ask questions, as well as joke around with people, but this has taken a sickening twist and I don't feel like reading abusive comments that are directed towards me constantly.  I've done nothing wrong, but I guess I was someone to pick on for a time.  Go pick on someone else for awhile.

Ha, I wasn't implying you stole anything.  I was comparing you to someone who has the suspicion of wrong-doing.  I'll try an easier analogy next time.
