Hits and runs record by one team in a season. Topic

Does anyone know the record for most hits/ runs a year by a single team?

Whatever it is, it's going to be by a juggernaut team that plays in Santa Fe or Colorado and is in a severely unbalanced world, probably with ML teams being run with fatigued pitchers.

In general, cross-world records of any kind are meaningless.  There is too much variation in competitive balance from one world to the next.

No, but a Colorado-based team in a 'tard world is a good place to start looking.

Might I suggest starting with Santa Fe in Foxx under bornloser's helm?

I would bet it would be a first season team before they adjusted the engine.  1468 or 9.06 runs per game is the best (or worst)  I found.  Yes the team plays in Sante Fe.  As pointed out above, this really isnt a good test of anything as the team was much better a few seasons later and scored a few less runs.

First season for sure. players were getting 40 triples.

MG, S1 was 1219.  That's over 100 more than the 2nd highest ever. Coop was 1136 in S3.  Both worlds have only had 7-8 teams ever score over 1000.

Foxx had 1400+ in one season.   It wasn't bornlosers' team.

Im averaging 8.95 runs pre (1093) game at coors through 122 games. Plus i have played most of my games on the road and finishing the season with a 17 home game.

Bingo. I had a Colorado team in A.Rod for sh*ts and giggles. Season 7 the team amassed 1525 runs, hit .337 as a team with the DH slugging 96 HRs 256 RBIs and hit .395. season 8 they fell to 1520 runs but hit .341 as a team, two players had 200+ RBIs, another player hit .402. Stupid, but fun, not going to lie.

Highest in DD was 1195 runs in season 1.. to be expected in the first ever season. In the past 4-5 seasons we haven't had anyone score over 1,000 runs even with a Colorado team being in the world.

Colorado Frankenberries in Mike Squires: (An NL team... which is also an important distinction)

902 this season through 111 games (on pace for 1,316)
1,177 last season
1,157 the season before that

BUT...

1,046 and 1,071 the seasons before that as the VANCOUVER Frankenberries (completely neutral park)  which suggests that the ballpark factor is not as insane as you would assume. This is all mostly with the same-ish 1-8... and if anything, I'd say the bench has been significantly improved in the Colorado years.
