In other words, changing primary position, waiving, de-activating, demoting, adding/removing from trade block/40 man/playoff roster or re-signing would result in a status change.  Hell, technically, a change in his fatigue % is a status change.

Or one could use common sense(as pnutbag is not inclined to do).

Hey common sense, don't say "ANY" in all caps if you don't mean "ANY". Now that is common sense.

No, it isn't Mike. Common sense would be to not use "ANY". Especially after the "always right" comment. You goofed. Split hairs all you'd like, you were wrong not just once, but twice on that very subject. (DFA W/Out Waivers and Active/Inactive). Funny how you tell me I am nitpicking, and you come up with some lame *** "lineup" b.s. For clarification: By your logic, if you're using status in the context you continue to use it (lineups, etc) then you were wrong because obviously changing a player's spot in the lineup won't nullify a trade. If, when you said "ANY", you meant the player's status as it pertains to HBD, you're wrong. Activate/Deactivate and DFA W/Out Waivers fits under this use of the word. Let me know when you figure out EXACTLY what you were trying to say above in reference to a player's "status" changing nullifying trades. In either instance, you were wrong. JusI don't want you to think I am nitpicking. Nitpicking is one thing. You are the bright guy who said "ANY". Back it up. Or,  admit it like a big boy and move on. Common sense, Mike. Any means any. That's not even nitpicking. YOU chose the wrong word, not me. Don't like people pointing out that you are wrong? Don't claim to always be right (another falsehood) and don't be so foolish as to use a word that you don't appear to know the meaning of, like "ANY".

Too long.  I'm not even giving you three lines.   In short, just use common sense.    Or, if you prefer, prove to everyone you're a jackass.   Makes no difference to me.

It's easier to find a time when mike's wrong than trying to nitpick a technicality.  Don't try so hard.
nutbag?  Heed hart's advice.

Try to seem less needy about proving Mike wrong.  It comes off way too much like a spurned ex-gf.

Seriously.

I will try it again. Seasons over and I am signing about 10 players and the cycle should start in about 20 minutes.

It looks like it did add in the payroll of the players. I am not sure what I seen or did not see last time.

I am not THAT worried about it. I just find it amusing. Kinda like a game. It's sad to watch a grown man try so hard to avoid saying, "Oops. My mistake". Kinda funny to see the lengths he'll take it to avoid that. I mean, seriously. Read some of those responses. Again, I'm not the complete idiot who claimed to always be right or that clearly does not understand the meaning of the word "ANY" and will do backflips to avoid admitting the obvious. Watching a guy rant on about "common sense" when he's shown no understanding of the words "status" and "any" is amusing to me.

$7650 each, right?

So I guess my point about selling a back-up catcher for 55k once the playoffs begin stands.    That 55k = 7 draft picks that you could not have signed if you had $0 cap space.   I doubt this changes your opinion about selling of players but I do think you have to recognize that "Only 55k" can make a huge difference in the future of a team.

Seems like they should fix the draft pick salary bug.
9/10/2010 9:44 AM
So teams with no cap space can sign picks when the playoffs start?    Maybe they should model it after MLB and have a cut-off date for signing picks.
