ANTI-TANKING RULES Topic

I dont think you go back to vote i think the rule has got to be 55 wins or boot.
If that's the rationale, I agree. But of course, the appalling lack of communication leaves us to spend the weekend guessing and getting angrier. If they had time to put two site staff into the league, they had time to send a message to kneeneighbor letting him know what they were doing and why.

Im calmer now.. Now if the budgets lock, in about an hour the shet hits the fan again

Good lord this is a mess. Wis is filling open teams with site staff. Why? What is their intent? We're all locked in now with an owner we want out. WTF?

its not fair to me that I was allowed back and now people are jumping down my throat without knowing the situation really.  I am a rookie owner but i will never ever spend another dollar on HBD with all the dicks saying I need to go too. Look I made some rookie mistakes including ballpark choice but my team was hit with a lot of injuries and I managed it every day.  i was shuttling people up from AAA and down all season long.  But for the good of the league I asked to be dropped and my money refunded.  But know this I probably won't spend another dollar on HBD with all you a hole owners.

I don't think anyone was jumping down your throat.   We, or at least me, were saying that booting a guy under similar circumstances and allowing you back is, at best, a controversial decision and probably why WifS is unsure how to handle the situation.    No need to get all angry about it.   Personally, I don't care what is done with the world.   I'm just curious to see the outcome in case it ever applies to me.

similar circumstances?

Not making the win floor gets your appeal to stay reviewed, not auto-booted.  Both were reviewed.  This isn't an auto-boot situations.

wow, just catching up on this....they plugged in two sitestaff, said nothing and the world has rolled.

It's one thing to ignore world-made rules and not remove a guy; it's completely another thing to not give owners a choice to leave a world where rules have been overridden.  I'm a bit surprised at this....it's a very low move by WIS.

Admin has been making horrible decisions for the last couple years - ever since they fired tk or whatever that guy's name was.  One league I was in, they admitted that there were aliases in the league and refused to do anything about it.  In another, they allowed the commish to take all decision making away from the league without asking.  Basically it seems that you can do whatever you want these days as long as it doesn't require CS to do anything or think for themselves.

That may be part of the problem.  WIS has gone from a place where management used common sense to solve problems to one that refuses to make ANY decisions.

I think the review process is the problem.   Since you and harthj are here, you're my examples.    Both of you win 50 games.  Win requirement is 55 but with a review.   harthj has rambled on about how he's gonna kick everyone's *** in S3 once he gets his players in place.   He's generally disliked for his "outgoing" personality.    You've never made a post in the WC other than to say "This team has problems.  I'm doing my best."

Both of you appeal.   harthj has annoyed everyone for 85 days.   He gets an 0-5.   You haven't really bothered anyone and you're new to HBD.  You get 4-1.   You return, we demand that harthj is removed.   The difference in actual game play?  None.  You both lost 112.   The difference in how you're veiwed?  Huge.  Harthj=pain in the ***, you=quiet n00b.

Fair?   No.

I don't honestly think that world has rolled.   It went public and a schedule was created.   Returned to private, two owners who joined when it went public were removed and replaced by Site Staff.    I hope WifS is sorting it out and that was how they delayed it.   kneeneighbor is slightly at fault for not extending privacy.  You can extend privacy and not approve owners.    And demand a resolution while you wait.

Nope its rolled, they told me we are playing via ticket this mroning. No one was given the option to leave.
9/18/2010 8:54 AM
Wow.   That's hard to believe.   I hope you guys raise hell all season.
9/18/2010 8:56 AM
Here is some of the ticket they sent me.

Zach,

You will notice that the two owners are sitestaff members.

Once a world is scheduled there is absolutely nothing we can do to reverse it under any circumstance. We have never reversed any scheduling related items in the history of Hardball Dynasty and we never will.

You must find two replacement owners as soon as possible to take over the two franchises that are currently being run by sitestaff members.

The upsetting thing is not that the persone we wanted removed is still in but rather that there are no less than 12 people who said they didnt wish to play this season with him being allowed to play and would either use their season in another league or not play HBD all together. They have now been forced to spend that money there.

Had i paid cash and not credits I would have called my credit crad company and had the charges stopped.
