I think that's what keeps getting missed. It's not more steals I am seeking (again, I speak for myself), how does that keep getting lost in this? I am just looking for it to be more realistic. I DO think the SB engine needs fixing as is. If you take a look at some previous threads discussing this topic, it's already been pointed out that the SB system is flawed. I don't want 100% success rate for steals for anyone. I don't want more steals. I don't want them to be evening out for the sake of some arbitrary percentage. This would be wholly unacceptable to do with HR's and such, it should be with SB's. I want a more realistic approach to managerial settings and a fixed SB engine overall. Again I ask, would blanket settings be appropriate for your pitchers? If not, why are they acceptable for your hitters? Not a single team in baseball is run in that fashion. Blanket settings simply are not realistic, and I have yet to see an argument against that at all. Just more wrong assumptions as to what is being asked for here. It'd be nice if any poster could actually debate the true, up front points being made, rather then deflecting to poor/false assumptions and redirections.
