Congratulations on officially making it to the 3 month mark.  Not many others have been able to achieve this.

Three months = an entire lost season.

When MikeT transferred Braggin' Rights to me, I had 26 openings going into S5.  I filled the league within 5 days, and have been going smooth ever since.  The most openings I've had since then was 5, and I filled it in 12 hours.  Moving from S9 to S10, I had one opening which I filled in 13 minutes.

The point of all this is that there is always hope, however it all depends on who's running the ship.

I think that was a slightly different situation.   You had well-run, albeit imbalanced due to the "theme" of the world, teams to sell.    Worlds with poorly run teams and an imbalanced structure that has all legit current and future players on a few franchises doesn't have a good selling point.   I don't know how the other "teams of 4" ran their group but the MG team was pretty balanced.  Two of the teams had the top big leaguers and the other two teams had the vast majority of the prospects.   You had the benefit of "win now or win later" selling points.   And, due to the win rules that were in place, even the bad teams from the other groups had to be good enough to win some games.   It's not like someone was taking on a 35 win team that peaked at 51 wins three seasons ago.

The point of my post was that a world that takes 3 months to fill shows me they aren't making the necessary efforts to fill the league.  Which is why I brought up Braggin' Rights.  I didn't care about the quality of owners at that point, I just needed owners.  Cold calling, name it what you will..  you need to send out invites to anyone and everyone.  I recall sending out thousands of invites to those in worlds that probably never even heard of me nor my world.  The imbalance of the world didn't matter, I knew in time it would even out.  Just get the owners to begin play.  That's a start.

Again, I think it's a different situation.    An owner looks at BR and says "Oh, I see what they were doing" and, if he's OK with it, signs up.   A lot of well-known owners were in that world.   And owner looks at Kruk and says "Damn, that looks funky" and moves on because there are dozens of one and done owners who did nothing more than serve as a farm system/salary dumping ground for someone in their only season. 

I'm not saying what you did wasn't a good thing.  I just think you had something to sell.

At least a few of the owners in that world left for one reason and one reason only ....... because an owner that was kicked out came back when the world went public.  Thats the reason this world isn't filling.  Everything else is bullshi!. 

It's ridiculous.  Why would you even want to come to a world that had admin. kick you out?  Except to be an a$$hole and cause more trouble.  This guy said "F U!" to this world.  He said "Im back.  What the F are you going to do about it??"  Admin said we can't do anything.  So a number of us said "F U" back, by leaving.  If the 5 or 6 of us didn't leave the world would have had 4-5 opening, been under the rader, and would have filled normally, like every other world.

Lame excuse to leave a world.   harthj is a pain in the *** but, after his "My son waived all his good players.  It's not my fault I had a high priority on the WW!" BS he pulled in Hometown, I've yet to see him do anything to hurt a world other than jack his jaw.   WifS gave us this thing called the "block feature".   Use it and he disappears into a series of dashes when he posts.   "Problem" solved.

Yeah you are right.  Its not as good as "If I can't be commish of Bo Jackson world (even though Im doing a terrible job and everyone in the world except my butt buddy trop hates me) I'm leaving."

I could have been commish of Bo Jackson as long as I wanted.  It's just the owners of Bo wanted a commish who would let them use AA pitchers in the bigs, win 48 games and return.   Or a commish who'd turn a blind eye to the rules that EVERYONE(save you) agreed to when they saw fit.   Unlike your lame excuse for leaving Kruk, I have legit reasons.    I started with "I'll become commish and fill the 10 openings IF, and only IF, the returning owner agree to this......"    21 of 22 agreed.   You objected to me(not necessarily the rules I laid out).   When it became apparent that the world didn't want to change, I saw no reason to stick around. 

Yeah right.  You left because you wanted to be King not commish and thankfully most of the owners weren't your forum worshippers and had enough of you quickly.  BTW... The league had like 1or 2 openings after last season and filled in about 2 days.  Maybe the best league Im in. Good riddance.

I'd take a half a dozen harths over one you (even though you still would out-weigh 6 harths).  I stayed in Bo Jackson DESPITE you being there, and Im still there.  Leaving Kruk was the group taking a stand against ADMIN. but you don't get that part.  I think you should join Kruk, become commish and straighten it out.  If nothing else Im sure the year end buffet will be the best.

No, it's knowledge I gathered from this post.  

harthj was removed from the world when it was private.  The world went public(and it appears that you don't understand what that means) and he returned.   You cried to ADMIN and left(but, sadly, didn't look up "public" in the dictionary).    Ran from harthj.  Yep, that's what you did.
