I have a player I signed as a spring training invite only but now lists him as needing to be assigned. Do I have to assign him to a team before ST?

if i do assign him to a team will he then get the min salary for that level even though he is a ST invitee only?

In all likelihood, you'll have to assign him to the BL team. So he'll get 327k.

Pretty sure if he signed for invite only, you can assign him anywhere and if he's an old vet (I think service years play a role), he'll get paid $55k if you send him to the minors.

I could be wrong. I've only signed a couple and both had to be assigned to the BL team or released.

I'm in same boat, only letting me assign to BL team.  But he does have Options left.  I assume I can assign him to BL and then immediately demote him?

When a player asks for ST invite only, offer minor league + ST invite; he'll accept (or has always for me), and that way you can assign him to the minors.

Offer him minor league withoiut an invite, he will take that too. I have yet to find a guy that I wanted on my ST roster that wasnt also someone I wanted to fill out my minor league rosters.
