Is a player's performance effected from being placed on trading block?

I have nothing to back it up, but I don't think a player's trade block status affects them at all.

I would have something to back me up if I were in the mood to search for the dev quote stating that it has no effect. But you can just trust me: it has no effect.

I've had this guy.. http://whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=1805739 on the trade block all season (last season of his contract, not sure if I want to offer extend his deal or not, but figured I'd listen to any interested parties) and he's having a pretty typical season.
