Mutual Option Topic

I'm sure this information is somewhere but frankly I'm too lazy to go and find it.  If I decline a mutual option and the player becomes a free agent, will I still get a compensation pick since he would be a type A?

If you decline the option, no.  If the player declines the option, yes.
