I think you have to have 10 full seasons completed.

I can probably guess the top ten in the exact order they will come down unless this is truly going to be a non-bias list that don't rank the league based on the self proclaimed "Best" status.

From what I know of the Computer this will be completely unbiased and no doubt surprise some people.

So leagues with good owners who consistently make the playoffs are punished by this ranking?

Yeah. It's going to be subjective based on whatever criteria is used. The league I have the most fun in where I consider my competition to be the most knowledgeable will probably finish much further behind publicly lauded leagues that don't really impress me as far as knowledge or talent.

Parity doesn't mean anything, honestly. To me it shows less owners who have it figured out, or have an organizational plan. Consistency should be more praised than cycles of failure and success.

Retention is difficult to gauge because some owners, as MikeT said, are kicked out for poor performance. And I've seen that in the longer-running worlds, it's much more difficult to replace a team with an owner committed long term. I think more people are gravitating to more untainted reclamation projects or something that might be easier. Usually it's the same franchises that lose their owners, and that says more to me about a lack of good owners available than a world's capability.

Couldn't parity also be an indicator of a world full of owners who have figured it out?

In Moneyball, the differece between a 70-win team and a 90-win team can sometimes be little more than luck and injuries.

My point was that there's no way to appropriately differentiate between the two. A world with that many good owners deserves its accolades, but there are a lot of worlds where people are just lucky, not good. You can't really discern between the two just by looking at playoff teams.

Okay, I will agree with that.

Yes and no. Playoff percentage is less then 1% of the league total ranking. The highest league playoff percentage is 100% while the lowest is 72%. So the 100% team only has a .28 point advantage over the 72% team.
