Yet again another arb. question Topic

I don't know for sure, the counting system just recently changed, like w/n the last week (it was suppose to change eariler, but they messed up), so I dont know if anyone knows exactly how it works out.  If you hold back 20 days, and do the math forward, at the end of their 4th full season, they'll have enough days to give them 2 full additional seasons. So I don't know if you'd get that 3rd arb season or not.  IIRC, 25 days was the needed time to be safe, but I could be off by a day or 2 in either direction.

days of service no longer stop at 255.  You may need to keep a guy down 25 days in order to save the full year, and avoid having them go from 4 years of service time (plus 170ish days) up to 5 years of service 174 days, which would equal another year and potentially push them to free agency before the last year of arbitration hearings.
Whoa, that is a huge change.  The 4 carryover days that every player gets are going to start to become very important.  If you game a guy in year 1 and he finishes the year at 0.153, then he will be at 4.169 after his fifth season, jumping him from 4 years to 6 (5.173->6.001), like taz said.  Why can't they just get rid of the 4 carryover days?  They make no sense anyway.

they may have, I don't know.  Its too early to know for sure, unless admin comes out and explains further.  So I"m proceeding w/ caution and plan to hold guys back a few extra days.

Yeah, better safe than sorry, I agree.  I had a world roll this morning and they all got the extra 4 days, so it appears they have removed the cap on counting service time but left in the odd 4-day carryover.
