Perhaps.  Or if they say nothing, it's further evidence that they don't give a rat's ***.

The issue is communication. It doesn't take a lot.

Suggestion thread, one post every 30-60 days - "he's what we'lll consider"
HBD update thread, one post every 30-60 days - "no updates scheduled"
Customer service responses - within 24 hrs "we're investigating". Every 5 days max after - "we haven't forgot about you, still investigating"

When #3 is dropped, as it has been, people start thinking about 1 and 2.

I think 99% of us agree that the "too many home runs!!!' customer should just be told to go to hell.

To GD coaches, a 16-month wait for activity is an eyeblink.
3/14/2011 4:23 PM
What about the "not enough home runs" customer?
3/14/2011 4:24 PM
He's complaining to the "too much randomness" customer.

tzent and patrick are still playing HBD and checked in today.  They are still listed as sitestaff.  So they're around.

They probably just don't want to frequent the forums and it's hard to blame them.

I get that part too.

But, the reasonable customer is being punished because of the unreasonable customer.

So here's the solution; they update as per my schedule. Not that strenuous.

As soon as someone ******* unreasonably post update, we find out where they live and rough them up. Word gets out, the complaints gradually diminish...end of problem.

crap, I'M ON FIRE TODAY! ON FIRE!
3/14/2011 4:34 PM
Screw your first two suggestions.

Answer tickets and post updates when applicable.
3/14/2011 4:40 PM
So...you're in line with roughing up the complainers then?

I like the fact that they are not constantly tweaking the engine anymore.

If you were actually on fire, that would go a long way to improving the forums right there.

That was one of my suggestions quite some time ago.   In a dynasty game, you're not building a team for a single season.   Making a change every 3-4 months isn't conducive to a long-term game.   Unless something is blatantly out of hand, across the board, there's no point.   One world with a couple of teams that hit 500 homers isn't a wide-spread problem.

I submitted a ticket 6 days ago and have not received a response, not even the customary "your ticket has been moved on to the right department" response.

And this is the game people seem to be the happiest with.  By far.  Safe to say these will not be referred to as the golden days of WIS.
