jonas, how did you come up with this formula? Just out of curiosity.

I'm still confused why a pitcher wouldn't drop a negative pitch at some point.  I understand giving it time to develop, but after that, why doesn't the game give the option to drop a pitch?

I mean, if I have a guy with 90/90/90/10 as pitches, it's somewhat ludicrous to believe he would ever throw the fourth pitch.

Good pitching coaches can "get" pitchers to drop very poor pitches.

Also, individual pitches are not thrown.  All the P1-P5 pitch ratings are part of a larger calculation to determine the outcome of a plate appearance.

Right, but 90/90/90 is going to average better than 90/90/90/10, even with the bump from having an extra pitch.  So why have the fourth pitch?

It's a flaw with the player.  Just like in real-life.

Example: a guy with extremely poor baserunning instincts who occasionally makes an ill-advised baserunning blunder.  Assuming he does other things very well, you sometimes have to take the "bad" as part of the overall package along with the "good".

The game should have little clicky things by each pitch so you could turn the damn crap pitch off if you wanted.  We are the GM right?  Order that turkey to quit throwing the screwball rated a 17!  If it develops or he gets traded, the new GM can click it on if he wants.

I've noticed you're a fan of naming pitches.

If you send in a ticket, WIS will take care of that for you.

I want a clicky thing so my 9 power guy will shorten his swing and make more contact.    He's not hitting one out anyway.   STOP SWINGING HARD, YOU JERK!!!!
