Health Percentage? Topic

I can't find any help or guide on the health percentage next to each player in my lineup.  How does a percentage of 90 effect the players production?  does it increase a chance for injury or just effect their production?  Is there a point where I should absolutely rest a player?  Any help would be much appreciated.

Nobody knows for sure, but the general consensus seems to be that as you get into the low 90's, performance starts to get affected, and the risk of injury increases.  Not sure if anybody has ever been able to collect any real hard data to back those two things up.

During the season, I try to keep my position players at 98 or above.  Though down the stretch, if you have to fight for a playoff spot, you might want to start pushing your guys harder to keep them in the lineup if they are your best options.

Since I usually play my BL players at 100%, I don't have much data to support production decrease.

However, I'm a bit more lenient in the minors so I can say that most of my minor league injuries occur at less than 97%.

I think I am the other way around from MikeT. In the big leagues, if we need to win the game, I play my starters regardless of fatigue. They can rest when they're dead damnit.

But in the minors, I tend to rest prospects at anything below 98% because to me the risk (a major injury to a guy in his 3rd year can turn a future big-league starter into a guy who will never make the majors) isn't worth the reward: essentially nothing, as minor-league wins don't matter and guys will develop as long as they get a decent amount of ABs/IPs. Although somehow I always wind up with an important prospect being injured with at 100% while some filler guys are racking up 600 ABs with fatigue down in the 70s

The players aren't real, the health rating is only there for entertainment.  It's completely arbitrary whether or not a player plays badly or gets hurt.  In fact, the injuries don't exist either.
