Leads our league in SLG, I would normally say this is maybe a short sample size but he's over 1000 ML career AB's and has a .300 BA and a .600 SLG.  So whats the deal here, screw contact and splits, just find a good eye and some power?

Interesting... that makes me feel better about this guy that I drafted a couple of seasons ago.

The result will vary from world to world.   But his 50ish splits are acceptable with that much power/eye.

Good thing they nerfed that kind of player... oh, wait.

He should not be a .300 hitter, no matter how bad the pitching is in that world.

I thought the same thing.  Was expecting .260-ish.  Strange.

Also you're living with 3 Ks for every 10 at-bats, if that matters to you.

It's just a different way of making an out.  I could care less how much a guy K's if he produces runs and changes the scoreboard.  Not everyone can be an Albert Pujols.

Obviously doesn't matter to you.  When he Ks with a guy on 3rd and 1 out it might, though.

Offensively speaking, K's are non-productive outs.

Productive outs aren't very productive either.

Even .260 "should" be too high, really. That's towards the upper end of the range for a TTO player like that. Jack Cust's career BA is .244. Rob Deer's was .220.

HBD vs RL, blah blah blah. It still bugs me.

bad splits = no problem:

He really only has one bad split, and even though he's having a massive year this year, it has definitely hampered him for his career.  If he had a decent vR, he'd be a total beast, but as it is, this is only the 2nd year in his career he has an OPS over .900.
