Any theories on why this player who's never been in the ML has had his contract renewed at $327K for the 2nd straight season?

Bug?  Or is there some obscure contract renewal rule that might be in place?

Thanks, but that's not it.

Unsigned draft pick.  I signed him as a FA the following season.

Offered him a 1-year ML contract that season.  So the first season at $327K is right.

But for the next 2 years, I think he should have been renewed at the MinL level.

I think he might renew at 327k for the first three years.  Then, if not put on the 40, he'll renew at 55k.
