Would you consider this "tanking"? Topic

a ML team that has only 1 of 13 position players rated 70 or higher, and a pitching staff with half of it rated in the 50's?

Shockingly, they are only 23-49 right now....and what if I said this was the Commish's team?

I doubt someone that has been in the league for 20 plus seasons never worse than 70 wins is a tanker.

Way to say "I'm leaving" in the league forums then scorch the earth in the public forums. You're all class!

I'm just asking for an opinion- his previous seasons have nothing to do with what is happening this season

Yes it does. I read the league chat, saw the other owners disagreeing with you, looked at his history. You're wandering down a path that will get you nowhere.

If you need validation, you're not getting it from me.

Sounds like this guy just wants to stir up a little bit a poo eh DIAH?  he really does sound like class...

From what this guy is describing it doesnt necessarily sound like a tanked team, There are even quite decent CFs with OA of under 70, and most decent SR are in the 50s...

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
exactly my point, you can have a team full of 60s and be nearly unbeatable if all your players had their specific important ratings high...

Regardless...that dude is the commish. He has the league jump to his defense when his character is questioned in the league forum. He has been in that league since day 1, never under 70 wins.

If you don't like a league, leave it. No sweat.

But the evidence shows that someone is being an asswipe, and it's not the commish.

Yeah I would be ****** off is someone called me out when I have never won less than 70 games.. One season that isn't so great is not tanking.

call me an ******* or whatever, playing a 42 overall 1st baseman, and a 52 rated 2nd baseman, a 31 overall catcher, and a bunch of other low-rated guys on your ML team is tanking. Also add in a 75 overall rated pitcher spending his 3rd season in AAA- and it is what it is.

or when your team is 23-49 like his, they can be there to ensure losing

The very fact that you're throw OVR at me means that you're talking out of your ***.

With world minimum win requirements, you can focus your time working on trades, drafts, or the sundry drafts in The Pit instead of playing international tanker police.

If this commish is playing guys with OAs of 31 and 42 in the BL team that is kinda sketchy.  It should be easy enough to replace those guys from even the rule 5.  Not to mention all the FAs you can sign easily enough for a mil that would surely be better then a 31 rated C.  No matter how you slice it no way a 31 C should even be in AAA let alone the bigs.

Then again, if all the rest of the owners are jumping to the defense of the commish there must be a side of the story that we havent heard yet.

Does sound slightly fishy I have to admit though.

the fact that I'm a better owner than you will ever be means you should politely just find somewhere else to voice your opinion
