Foster was in the majors with those splits?  Good for you pulling that off I guess...I'm with a-ersberg, in the world I plan in, he'd have a 10+ ERA.  I have guys with splits of 60's/60's that get lit up.
Splits aren't the be-all end-all.  I have a guy with 50's splits who had several nice seasons.  Got hit this past season, but my whole staff had an off year as a group.

I agree...while Foster's splits aren't all that great, his pitches make up some of it.  Splits are definitely not the end-all, be-all.  Case in point:

anyone that is not a C or RP?  Those are the easiest to find in later rounds...  Its rare that a starter or position player (other than C) makes it that was drafted out of top 5 rounds...

 sullivan was an 11th rounder who played a decent ML career, but again as a Catcher...

I drafted two picks (different years) in the 5th round that have made the bigs, neither was a P or C, both with the 157th pick:
 Anderson and 
Polanco

Polanco had 800 at bats and 54 HRs, and 160 RBIs.  He had one great year, batted 305 with 100 RBIs and 31 HRs in 499 at-bats. 

Lastly, Knight has had a very productive career as a SS, and is still young, he already has played in almost 600 games as a 3rd round pick (101st).  Great defensive SS.

Pretty decent player.  Not quite as late a find as some of the others, but still a surprising value.
