Is WIS really trying to implode HBD? Topic

No world has gone unfilled.  Those guys just got tired of waiting.  Get back to me when a world goes unfilled.  Until then, I'll assume all worlds have eventually filled.

it was a forced merge it was WIS's doing, those worlds went unfilled and were merged

Stop feeding Mike. He's baiting you with sematics. Its what he does.

There were no "forced" merges.    Why would you think there were?

Say what you want, smoel, but I actually agree with you.  But it's not our call.  You know how to protest the creation of new worlds?   Stop buying teams.

Let me put this another way.    I'll use round numbers.   WifS has 100 worlds.   32 teams, $25 each.   $80000 every three months.   WifS allows 5 new worlds to be created but only 100 of them fill while 5 sit around waiting for owners.   How much does WifS make in the 2nd 3 month period?   I'm gonna say "$80000".    If just three of those worlds sit, I'll change my answer to "$81600".    What is the greater number?  80000 or 81600?

Now you need to quantify how much money they are LOSING. How many customers are leaving WIS because they are sick of waiting several weeks for their worlds to fill? How many potential customers are they losing because they come to the site, see the game, get interested, and then they see an overwhelming number of openings in existing worlds? If I saw that, I'd say, "Wow, this game must not be very good... there are over 20 worlds looking for owners right now."

Historically, the most openings I've ever seen is around 60. Right now, that number is 96. In the next 72 hours, 11 more worlds are scheduled to roll. I'm guessing that we'll be somewhere around 140 in about 3 days.

Again, I ask, is that REALLY the best time to open a new world?

All worlds are filling.   If customers are leaving, someone is taking their place.

We've seen 120 before.  We'll see 120 again.  And then we'll see zero.

Again, I explain, it's not a decision for CUSTOMERS to make.   You either play or you don't.  THAT'S what you get to decide.

Bingo....and the sad part is, most of the time he trips himself up enough that he's wrong. So unless you get humor in watching him back into those corners, no need to feed the troll.

It's a shame how crappy a job this site does at Marketing.  They should be advertising on every fantasy baseball website, telling people that they can continue the baseball season over here.  It's a great game and no one knows about it.

Wrong. As per usual. He's just the modern day "troll".  Weak attempts to bait people (this guy actually posted in my thread once while he had me blocked....then cried about how I was stalking him when confronted. How ******* lame is that?). Full of mis-information and snide, rude comments. Hopefully people have caught on and generally ignore this character now...unless it's for a good laugh....I can see that.

Jeez.   I'm sorry I didn't save nutbag's sitemail.

Background:  He started a thread because his 2nd season world needed 8-9 owners.   I asked "WTF?", thought better of it and deleted the post because I don't think one should disrupt a thread in the classifieds.   He sitemailed me to ask what I posted and deleted.  I told him and then blocked him because he's obviously obsessed with me.

Of course, the fact that his 2nd season world had to replace 25% or more of it's owners might be a reason not to start new worlds.

And, yes, I blocked him when every post he made addressed me and me only.   I imagine his posts in this thread are about me.   The one tec quoted sure was.

Obsession.

Good worlds have no problem filling...
9/5/2011 11:44 PM
They do if the economy sucks and people can only afford to run 1-3 teams. Not every world is trying to acquire brand new owners due to possible aliases.

We have seen this same story multiple times. Lot of openings then 2 months later almost no openings. In the meantime we see a thread started about how its all WIS fault, and they do nothing about filling these worlds up etc, etc, . You guys are all excited and  it probably comes down to people not joining worlds right now because they are preparing for their fantasy football draft.
