Is this IFA ML ready? Topic

I'm sure he knows what he's doing.    He's just playing a part at this point.   I'm playing along because I find it amusing and I also think it's a good thing when someone admits to tanking that his admission stays near the top of the forum for awhile.    More eyes can see it.   And more will be drawn to it as the thread gets larger.

It's kind of cruel, really.  Like poking a caged animal with a stick.  But geez, everytime he posts it's another gem!

Poor analogy.   First, he's a willing participant.   Second, I'm convinced he's just playing along at this point.

Not breaking world rules is not the same as not tanking.

Nonetheless, congrats on doing everything perfectly.    You are the sun and the rest of us are just happy to bask in your warmth.   Thank you.

I am playing along, but it also was not tanking.  Not in any sense of the word.  Every better available option was still in AAA because there were continuing their progression so that they would reap more rewards at a cheaper salary at the ML level for longer.  It is how to play the game smartly and maximize your returns.  Not tanking.  I would not eat salary cap money by releasing or moving players under contract at the ML level just to get a better product on the field, a better product that was still getting better.

In the end, it worked out perfectly, and I ran the organization exactly how any smart owner would, letting ML guys with contractual demands play out their contracts, letting minor leaguers develop until they were ready for the bigs, and then sliding them in when appropriate.

Not to mention, giving my AAA city a year to remember. No blatant tanking was involved, I have never tanked.  I have never broken any world rules, and am in several other worlds that do have hard rules.  Now you guys are suffering because the tanking label won't stick.
This thread is your legacy.

Of course the tanking label will stick.  Like Krazy Glue.

I doubt it.  I have received many sitemails to join worlds as a result of this thread, as well as mails telling me what a troll you are.  No worries, I will never enter a world you are in, I can only imagine your world chat know it all posts.  Drive me batty.  In fact, that is the first question I ask when given an invite...."is Teccywrg in the world? Cuz if he is count me out".

What you're failing to understand (presumably because you haven't played this game for all that long) is that players do progress after they're promoted to the majors. And some of them begin to regress after age 27, so they'll end up (on balance) no better than they were while toiling away in AAA at age 25 or 26. You're also overlooking the reality that players don't typically achieve their peak projections at the same time. For example, a player may hit his projected splits after his power begins to wane, and his glove and arm accuracy might peak after his range and arm strength have diminished.

So you should probably just play the best players at the ML level and see what happens if you make it to the playoffs. You can save a year of service time by holding players back for 25 games, which pretty much everyone agrees is good strategy.

I used to wonder what was going on.....at only 10 seasons with all 5 of my worlds beginning to take division championship after division championship..and other players with 50+ seasons with just an occasional good year here or there......was I just lucky? Now I know it isn't luck, I just understand the game better than most of you. Of course you will just call it tanking. Hah, if that is the case I will be coming to a division near you in the future to begin more champ runs.
This statement is a little confusing to me... does rangerup have an alias?
