The Next Update for HBD Topic

Coaching - If coach is coming back for next year, he should be paid at least as much as he was hired for.  A FI should not be paid $2.5M then come back for $500k the next year.

This is an important and much-needed update, and I suspect it'll have more far-reaching consequences than it might seem at first blush. The extra $2 million-plus it would cost to keep a good coaching staff together should help reign in some other budgetary excesses.

Do any of the things that you've claimed you're going to do before looking for new things to do.
Hard to believe CS doesn't treat you well.

I know it's been mentioned, but I'll mention it again - Arizona fall league.

I'd like to see a page where the upcoming games are listed along with the expected starting pitchers. This would be especially nice in the playoffs.

Do not touch the engine please. I might not be able to figure out how to win a WS, but I like things just the way they are.

No kidding.  People hate being held to standards.

It's almost laughable for me to be giving advice on tact but it seems you could use a lesson.

There are many ways to voice your displeasure without being an ***.   You didn't do that.

I think the developers know the game better than us.  I'm all for cosmetic changes that we influence, but I'd prefer major decisions be handled at the people getting paid to make the game level and not the people paying to play the game level.  When Hoops Dynasty was updated and the beta was run prior to implementation, too much input was accepted and the game, sadly, was ruined.  You have to trust yourselves...and know that what you are doing is the right thing and will work.  Asking us is a nice gesture but I hope our input isn't overvalued.  Seble had Hoops Dynasty right in the beta and when we whined and complained he compromised because a lot of the old guard were unhappy with it.  Now that led to a happy customer base but a less viable product.  The original update, and more viable product in my opinion, would have eventually brought silence to the complainers.

Eliminate that 7game home and home series against one team.

Make Current Ratings be the default view when you access the GM Rosters page.

Add the historical ballparks.

Arizona Fall League

International FA's signed over a few days (especially like MikeT's idea - Also like MikeT's idea for DITRs.)

NO to HBD Live

Keep the current playoff format as is 5-5-7-7

Tact went out the window 6 months ago.  It was ineffective, so it's time to try another approach.  You know...the definition of insanity and all that.

My biggest complaint when taking over a new team is the inability to spend more than $14M on training and medical in the first year. This leaves players unfairly vulnerable in their careers when owners may want to fully invest in their protection. I can't tell you how many good players careers I've seen ruined or badly sidelined because a team got a new owner. How does this benefit anyone or reflect the reality of MLB.?

Understanding the desire to protect from wild fluxuations in the categories, why not make it permissable to raise the categories without limit--but limit the lowering of both to the current $4M per season?

Open to alias\tanking abuse. I run my team on a 0/0/0 budget for scouting, my team ages quickly, i have a bad season and get the #3 overall draft pick for next season. I withdraw, rejoin as another username, and instantly my scouting is at 20/20/20. Not happening.

They should let you select whether you set your budget based on the 10 +/- 4M default, or whether you want to use the previous owners settings as the baseline. I don't see any issue in using the previous owners settings as a baseline, it's just the same as if the owner never changed.

I actually asked basically the same question 2 weeks ago here.

I'm almost certain your problems with CS date back before 3/11.

Seriously, I've defended CS because I know the dumbass questions they get.  I'm pretty disappointed that they announced they had ignored WifS for 12-18 months. I also understand that I could spend my money elsewhere.   Had their neglect destroyed my enjoyment of the game, that's exactly what I would have done. Equate to your spouse cheating on you.   You can forgive her and move on with your marriage.   You can forgive her and move out(or boot her *** to the curb).  You can refuse to forgive her and move out(or boot her *** to the curb).   Or you can stay with her and be a miserable bastard to her every day to "make her pay".   The first three are rational solutions.  The fourth is pointless as you won't be happy either.   You are choosing option 4 with CS and WifS.
