I had a crash in my boot routine and had to run some recovery ops on my computer.  Now, when I log onto HBD, I get sent to the World Select main screen, like I'm a new owner without a team.  My Caray franchise still shows up in my "Lockerroom", but when I click the link, I'm redirected to the World Select main screen. 

I've cleared all cookies and temp files, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.  I've tried entering the Caray URL directly, but it still redirects me to the World Select screen.  Any suggestions?
 

 

When you're redirected to the World Select screen, does it show you as being logged in at the top?

If so, I would try a couple things...

1)  Hold down control and hit F5.

2)  If that doesn't fix it, close out all internet windows, open up the command prompt (Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt) and type "ipconfig /release", then "ipconfig /flushdns", then "ipconfig /renew".

3) Try a different browser.

Where would it show me being logged in?  In the Forum it says, "Welcome, Lvnwrth"  but I don't see anythng on the World Select page.

Ctrl/F5 doesn't do anything.
 

Go download Piriform's Ccleaner (it's free from there website) and clean out ALL your junk files, etc and also run the registry fix. That has helped a lot of others before.

1. Unplug your computer. 
2. Take it to the roof of a building at least 10 stories high. 
3. Make sure noone you like is standing on the ground below. 
4. Drop your computer from the roof.
5. Watch it explode into many neat little pieces.
6. Go to your nearest Best Buy or similar store.
7. Buy a new computer.
8. Set it up and obtain an internet connection.
9. Log into whatifsports.com
10. If the problem persists, repeat steps 1-9 again.

If you're posting, you're logged in.   Got to "Main" from this screen and look to the right.   Your team should be there.

It sounds like a caching issue that doesn't recognize that he's logged in when he goes to the world page, thus the redirection to the World Select screen.

Wait?  Are you using a Mac?  That's the root cause for most of the worlds problems.

I didn't really read anything but "Where would it show me being logged in?"

Can you get there by through your "Franchise Center"?  I've had to that a time or two, though I can't remember whether my symptoms were the same as yours.

NEVER under any circumstancses buy ANYTHING at Best Buy unless you have a gift card that you're just trying to use up.
