I have been in the league that jtpsops is talking about. Since it was made out of 2 leagues that got caught in the over-expansion of Worlds several years ago. And I really don't mind the banter . Find it entertaining. But the problem lies with Jtpsops judging the player in question just on ERA and WHIP. With his 2 million advanced budget he really can't say wheather the player is good or not.The pitcher may have been in a hitters ballpark or on a team with lousey fielding. Owners should know what they are talking about before speaking. On the otherside, I never pump up a player when posting on the chat. Simply state that the player is on the trading block. Then  when someone is interested in the player . Start Pimping!!

The player is 31 years old.   ADV scouting means nothing.   He has almost 1600 career innings in a variety of parks.    You can probably judge him based on WHIP/ERA at this point.

I read the WC.   Explain the block feature to those who don't want to read you B.S.

You dont really need ADV scouting to judge the talent on a 31yr old SP.... Anyway, Ithink you're being called out more for being an overall ******* rather than your post in the world chat.  I think the comment where apollo was complaingin about the quality of the offers was worse than your comment..

Probably is the key word. But I wont trash a player when probably is in the mix.

OK, I didn't take the time to figure out how many innings he'd pitched in each park.   But he is pretty much split on slight hitter/slight pitcher home parks in his career.  I didn't take the time to figure out the average WHIP/ERA for the world during his time as a pro but now I have.  The average team has a WHIP around 1.4 with an ERA of 4.45 during his pro career.

Summation:  jtpops' analysis of him is dead on.   He's a poor 2/average 3/good 4 SP.

Proabably can now be removed.

His ratings are pretty solid and he could throw a **** load of innings.  I would'nt trade him away unless I was getting a prospect that would be a for sure ML starters.. Maybe not an All Star but definately a ML starter.

FWIW, here was my response:

"Seems you're overrating a guy with a career WHIP of 1.33 and an ERA over 4. Not to mention that you earlier classified him as a 'solid middle of the rotation' starter and wanted one prospect for him - and now he's suddenly a top of the rotation starter worth plum 1st round talent or an IFA."
From my Advanced Budget of 14 . I can see he has not started the down hill slide of old age yet. So it can be said that he will be an effective pitcher for 4-5 years . And his numbers are good across the board. He will definatly be a Type-A  free agent in 2 years. And while he's no HOF pitcher. I'm sure someone would trade a good prospect for him. But how could Jtpsops make that opinion on just part of the picture.I say he can't ,and shouldn't. Sometimes a person should just keep there opinions to themselves when they aren't well informed. If they are trolling for confrontation . Go to the Forums and keep it off our World chat.

Why do you keep bringing up advanced scouting?  Everyone sees the same current ratings - this isn't a prospect.

How can you have 171 seasons and not understand ADV scouting?

ADV scouting means NOTHING for that player.

Well his temper is 54, so that should help him maintain his control for a few more seasons.

If ADV ever predicted decline....then maybe he would have a point....but alas it does not and he has a poor understanding of ADV.

Heres an example of probably. Mike is probably your first name. T is probably your last initial. 23 is probably your I.Q. And from your fasination with man-Boobs and the size of your johnson . you are probably gay(Not that theres anything wrong with that.) I would never say these things without knowing for sure.

Advanced scouting is the most improtant tool for player trading and signing. In My opinion!

Okay, since I'm being discussed here I'll go ahead and chime in.   The real issue here is WHO CARES.  Why was it so important to Jtpsops to point out that I said he was a middle rotation guy on one post and a top rotation the second?  Really, who the hell cares?  What is he, the chat police?  He's just a pot stirrer, that all.   That's why people told him to shut up.  He's was just trying to start **** because that's how he gets his jollies.   Thus the continued pot stirring over here on the forums.  I mean really, get a life.

By the way, I did trade him for a 27 year old CF that is a very solid everyday ML player with a 87 overall rating (and yes I know that overalls don't mean anything).

What's funny is that the combined number of season between me and my trade partner is 78 seasons.    In my 32 seasons over a course of over 5 years I have won 1 WS and 7 division titles.   I very well know the value of a pitcher with excellent stm/dur, splits in the 70s, great makeup, great health, and excellent control.   Bottom line, Jtpsops is a dumb *** and a trouble maker.  Everyone knows it, and his posts here just confirm it.
