Any reason why I didn't get my team back other than the fact you think 'rolling over' a make believe game over the internet is more important than anything else?

It's not like I started a new job and this was the first time I really got to sit down on my computer and actually be able to purchase a season.

Don't even get a site mail explaining why I lost my team or giving me the password for one last shot.  Thought the almighty MikeT23 would conduct himself better.  You obviously have nothing else to look forward to, which is pretty pathetic, but whatever, it's cool. I'm not *all* that worried about it. Good luck.

You don't have to bother writing a response, just wanted to let it be known it was kind of a **** scab move.

Hope your dog dies of cancer and all the best,
JDrake

Should WifS give people more than 90 days to come up with $24.95?

9 months + 3 days following end of WS, at which point WIS send you an email (and you get credits), saying the season has finished. Not to mention the "you have not reserved your team for next season" bar on the World page for about 2 weeks prior to season end...

He must know MG/Coop roll almost instantaneously, so he was kinda asking for it, by not reserving before rollover.

Honestly, I don't like moving forward when someone confirms that they are returning.  But it's the internet.  People say things, change their mind and don't let anyone know.  It's not like jdrake27 is my neighbor so I can just knock on his door and ask "What's up?"    He checked his other teams the day after we were scheduled to roll and didn't renew.  Beyond that, I waited a full work day(almost as I sent the password to the next in line at 4 PM) after we rolled.   At some point, you have to move on.   I've waited before only to find out "Oh, I got a new job. I don't have time now."

Such is life.  He was struggling to compete anyway.  He's better off, IMO.

Yeah, he had the opportunity, just didn't capitalize on it.

I've waited several days for returning owner who've asked me to, although it is aggravating. But I wouldn't wait more than a day or two if my messages to a straggler aren't returned; I just assume he's dropping out and doesn't feel the need to tell me.

I do wonder if WiS could award end-of-season credits earlier, because nowadays it seems like money issues ("in this economy") keep at least one owner from renewing right away every offseason. That didn't used to be the case, and it's not always the same guys.

"I screwed up.  It must be your fault."

If you check in, don't renew and know it's been 4 days since the season ended, you might want to renew.    He has other teams.  I knew he didn't check in on the 7th  or the 8th.   Last checked his Coop team on the 5th.    He checked the other three on the 9th.    To me, that looks like someone who isn't returning.   Nonetheless, I waited until 4 PM(we rolled at 2 AM) to see if he was going to do something.   He didn't.  I moved on.   I didn't really like doing it but, since he's wishing cancer on my dog, I'm now glad I did.

I don't think he took it well.  That cancer to your dog thing is pretty heinous.  As a commish, this is one of the things that bothers me.  Often, I'm able to get the open spots filled, and then we have to wait for a longstanding owner to reup.  Why don't people just buy the 10 packs.  It works out to 19.99 per season, and by the time I need to rebuy one, I've usually accumulated around $100 in credits anyhow.

I hope your dog is soon healthy.

And I'm willing to bet  your dog to "rolls over' with more agility that JDrake.

I hope Mike's dog can re-up within the next three months.

Ehh, the economy is better and as others have said, you should be buying the 10-pack if you're a committed long-term player of this game.  And if you don't want to for whatever reason, you have 3 months to find $24.95, 2 weeks of a big red text banner warning you that you'll need to renew soon, and 3 days after the WS to do so.  If you're scraping by to make that $24.95 payment only by the benefit of a $4 credit, losing a team might be the best thing for you.

Besides, how would they distribute them early?  You know some of the credits early, but you don't fully know the credit distribution until the WS is won, and I'm sure WIS would rather keep that a consolidated, one-time process.

My dog has three credits.   He's just waiting for someone to let a n00b join.   His name is Bernie.  After Bernie Williams.   So I can yell "GODDAMMIT, BERNIE!!!  GO GET THE BALL!!!!"    I've missed that.
