Who to play where? SS/3B/CF Topic

I've got three players that are all borderline SS's.  I need to figure out where to play them amongst SS, 3B, and CF.

Range, Glove, ArmS, ArmA
1) 83, 85, 85, 78 Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Harry Servet
2) 73, 91, 77, 89 Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Miguel Galvez
3) 76, 81, 82, 89  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Miguel Arias

Right now I've got Galvez at SS, Arias at 3B, and Servet at CF.

I'm probably in the minority on this one, but none of the above.

Seth Cormier (81, 74, 58, 57) is your current 2B. Play him in CF; he's got the second-best range of the 4 and you won't be wasting Servet's arm out there.  Then it's Servet at SS, Galvez at 2B (where he can handle a lot of chances cleanly with that 91 glove) and Arias at 3B.

I like that suggestion.  I figured the 74 glove of Cormier would be to low for CF.

yes, Servet is clearly your best option at SS

More balls get hit to SS then CF.  A better glove is relatively more important there.

I have a similar question. On my team in Feller I already have a very good young 2B and SS but no real future 3B. I do have two prospects that I feel could play third but I can't decide which. JT Jacquez will have a slightly better bat and baserunning in my opinion, but a weaker arm than Lopez:
Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Jesus Lopez or
Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: J.T. Jacquez

I am in complete agreement.

Best overall defender at SS, best range in CF, best glove (and arm accuracy) at 2B, and (assuming other choices) the strongest arm at 3B.

Why would you play either at 3B?  Do you really have no other options?!??  Gotta be an aging FA SS with a decent stick around.....

Lopez might be a Gold Glove, but can't hit enough (IMO) for a corner spot.

JT's arm will lead to minus plays that his bat can't outperform.

I'd go with a turnstile of reasonably priced vets over either of these guys unless you are looking to have an 8th hitter who sucks and plays a premium offensive position.

I disagree about JT's arm.  Check out what Hank Stanifer did at 3B last season.

Funny... I saw my guy Sam Rivers listed with a pile of minus plays on the leader baord towards the end of this season, but they're not there on his player card.

I stand corrected!

FWIW, I obviously agreed with you previously, since I played him there in the first place.

iain, I have a 3B for this season but he isn't very good either. Jacquez projects to improve to a 63/25/51/72 bat with a 95 glove. I'm hoping he'll be ready to play next season, and I would like to trade Lopez.
