A second year owner waived the first 2 players and didn't Rule 5 protect the last player and blamed it on rookie mistakes.  And now the worst team from last year gets both studs. (a team that averaged 75-80 wins a season forever and suddenly lost over 100 games last season)   WTF?

The owner losing the players isn't a n00b.   He's played a full season and he signed up over a year ago.    Could be a rash of stupid mistakes.  But they were done on different days in different ways.  Waive, release, failure to protect(and he added others to the 40 so it's not that he didn't know how to do it). 

There is a lot more going on here than meets the eye.

I'm on year 6, I think.  Maybe 7.  I've made three stupid mistakes.  #1. Forgot to sign, long-term, my #3 guy on his 3rd arb.  Had to dump him at less than value.  #2.  Signed LarryFlood long-term to avoid losing him because I had failed to 40-man him.  4x$4.2 (which isn't much..but I had guys just as good, already), which I immediately regretted.  But he's been just fine for me as my platoon 1B aginst RHP.  #3.  Just made a waiver move where I forgot to auto-revoke the guy.  Intent was to set up a trade.  Luckily the intended trading partner was the only guy to claim my waived 225 inning-3.8 ERA-4 more years workhorse and he's going to honor the intent of the trade.

Just made that one a few days ago.

So muck ups can be made.

I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt right now.

I've got 89 seasons.  While gaming the system, I designated a BL pitcher on a multi-year deal, with waivers, that  I simply wanted to send to AAA so I could protect another player on the 40.   He was claimed.  Mistakes can happen.   But, in this case, it's three different kinds of mistakes on three different days.   Looks "odd".

Good lord I wish I had just one player who was projected to even reach what rating Holt is at now. sigh

Boy, what a bounce of cry babies..First question, How many of you read the waive wire "help" section? I recommend that you read it. It states that the person waive will go to the lowest rated team who claim him.

So, that keeps the highest rated teams from getting him. Which, I wanted to happen. Same with rule 5, I forgot to move my players I want to save, I left yeaterday and when I got back at noon today, all sh** hit the fan again.
