Just started a season after making it to WS and my team is 1-6 so far.  My #2 starter is out for the year, but besides that basically the same team that won 100 last year.  Got me thinking and curious as to the worst/best starts other owners have ever had/seen and how the seasons turned out.  Any takers?

I had a season start out (in Happy Jack) like 32-2 or something ridiculous like that. Ended up winning 117 games and getting knocked out in the 2nd rd.

1-6? I think I'd give it a few more games. Lol. I once started a season 10-48. Somehow I managed to win 54 but it was the most unlucky brutal start I've ever seen. 

I remember reading someone winning like 3 games one year? 

I had a team in Alexander start out 30-10. Had a week of Internet problems and never recovered. Finished 70-92. That was a big letdown to say the least.

Opened 4-12 en route to 101 wins. But 4 20-day callups contributed strongly to that slow start/fast finish.

28-42 became 88-74 by the end of the season.  I still missed the playoffs, but it was fun.

44-4.  Swept in playoffs by the team that finished 2nd in my division(he had 2nd best record in league).

Had a start that through 20 games had an offer come to me for my two best starting pitchers for three borderline position prospects with a tag-line indicating that they thought I should make the trade to start a rebuild, rejected the offer and won my division.

You had a 39-1 stretch in there too.  And you were the better team....

It was my team that beat his and they were good too.  Mike's team was better, but any team can lose to any other in a short series.
