Durbin can play 2B/3B.
Rojas doesn't have the glove for 2B.
Morgan/Petit can play anywhere but SS.  However, they can't hit.
Calderone can play CF or COF.

All that said, Durbin plays 2B.  I'd probably play Rojas/Calderone in CF until one wins/loses the job.

So if Arizona is a hitters park... my pitchers are getting destroyed, and my hitters arent hitting... what should I take from that?  Who's to blame?

Do you not buy Texas because you don't buy Darvish?

Or do you not buy Texas because you don't buy baseball's most potent offense?

Also, did you know their pythag record suggests they were 2 games better than their actual record last season?  Or do you not care?

Or are you down on Texas because you're not in the Pujols-is-getting-old-this-contract-will-be-an-albatross-soon camp?

AZ is a slight hitter's park.  Your OBP is horrible.   Your pitching is probably middle of the pack.  In AZ, that's not going to cut it.   You built it so I'd look in the mirror when applying blame.

I have three HBD teams, one in a extreme pitchers park (Burlington), one in a hitters park (Montreal), and one in a neutral park (Cheyenne) - all of the teams suck.

Am I the problem?

I don't buy Darvish.   Japanese pitchers have never found the success expected of them.   Maybe he's different, maybe he's not.    Schilling, of all people, made a good point.  He said "Take Verlander to Japan and make him do everything he's ever done differently.   See how that works."     MLB teams change their routines completely.
I do buy the offense but it's a bit park-inflated.   And I always expect Hamilton to binge.
I do not care.
Nothing to do with Pujols.

I'd say you are.

In the first 2 seasons each of Nomo and Daisuke's ML careers, they made 3 All Star games (1 All Star start) and had 3 top-4 Cy Young finishes.  Darvish is universally regarded as the far better pitcher than Nomo or Daisuke.

Doesn't all of that bode well for Darvish's success, at least over his first 2 seasons?

Couldn't Darvish turn into another Fat Toad Irabu?

So this is what .317 obp looks like?  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Arizona Outlaws Franchise Profile     Wouldn't a hitters park help my hitters too?  I guess that means this group would be even WORSE at a more neutral stadium?  Ugh.

There was a pretty good closer in Seattle for a few seasons w/ a 92 FB and devastating fork.  He was as successfule, perhaps moreso, than expected...until his unfortunate luggage "accident".

I don't know.   Seems that the Japanese pitchers pitch once a week but throw every day.   It doesn't translate to how MLB is coached/played.    I think Nomo and Dice-K had pretty good stuff but the league caught up to them.  Or maybe they couldn't adjust.   I could name a lot of Japaness pitchers who had little to no success.

He could.  Although Irabu's work ethic was non-existent which is abnormal for a Japanese player.

I was suprised that your OBP was so low.  But your contact/eye isn't all that great.

That is not a question but I'll address the RP part of it.  As I said, they throw every day, more or less, in Japan.  That translates well to MLB.   Off days and a side session is how SP do it in the states.   It doesn't seem to work.  Of course, I don't know why we force them to do it our way unless it has something to do with pitching every 5th day instead of every 7th/8th day.

Hypothetically speaking (yeah right), is an RP with say 50 ST / 80 Dur worth taking #1 overall?  Assume 80-85 across the board, with 90/80 for his 2 pitches, average Health and Makeup, JR in college.  Other talented players to choose from, I'm just not sure how unique/valuable that ST+Dur combo is.  Seems like 150-200 really high quality innings.

IF 98% OF CATHOLIC WOMEN WHO ARE SEXUALLY ACTIVE USE SOME FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL, SHOULDN'T THE ALL-MALE HIERARCHY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH RETHINK THEIR POSITION ON IT?
2/8/2012 5:38 PM
Without question.    That guy should probably get you over 220 innings.     I used the 7th pick on 65/37 DUR/STM because I felt I'd get 150 or so from him when he was fully developed.    Keep in mind that he's a junior in college so his development isn't going to be the same as an 18 year old.  If he's 55/41 DUR/STM, he's not hitting that 80/50,

I DON'T CARE AS LONG AS THE ******* DON'T SHOW UP ON MY DOORSTEP ALL PREGGERS!!!!!
2/8/2012 6:10 PM
He shouldn't have trouble reaching 80/50 barring injury, pretty high currents and I was wrong about the age (he's actually 19).  How much does having only the 2 pitches hurt him as a SP?
