Post-trade deadline waivers Topic

What's the experience like in other worlds?  Do most players clear waivers after the trade deadline? Or are most players claimed and the taken back off waivers?

It seems like in the world I play in most teams don't submit waiver claims and therefore a lot of owners put just about their entire rosters through waivers. Because the teams that do submit claims are limited to 2/day, you have a really good chance to pass most of your guys through waivers and make them tradeable.

What's your strategy for this time period?

In Mantle, we have a rule that limits a team from putting more than seven players on the waiver wire at a time after the trade deadline.  Makes it difficult to flood the WW and pass guys through.

That seems reasonable. Maybe I'll need to suggest that.

I flood the market everywhere but Mantle.

What about claiming guys? Do you even bother?

Depends on how much you like to trade.  If I see a guy not on the 40 with an option and could play AAA or a fringe ML'er I usually claim him.  Id be weary of large contracts on the wavier wire, the player might not be on reversable waivers and it could be a trick to hornswaggle you into a ridiculous contract.  For many years.

I claim anyone who can help my team.
