To tell you the truth, they haven't refused or not refused.  In an example of supremely excellent customer service, they are just leaving my ticket hanging without giving me an answer.

They've answered.  You don't accept it so you're thinking the subject is still up in the air:  "they explained that the lack of recovery points is because of the mid recovery DL switch"

I've finally got my response from WiS in my ticket, and I'm now a happy customer.  Here it is word for word:

"Sorry for the lack of a response on this issue. We had been trying to replicate what you managed to do (DL 60 to DL 15) and we simply have not been able to do so and we have not been able to locate another example of this occurring on the main site. We should have let you know we were looking into; we apologize for not updating you during that timeframe.

The development process worked properly, with the DL change causing the lack of recovery.

We have issued your account a $5 credit since you encountered this bug and had to wait on the response.

Thank you"

5 bucks!  Damn!  Where's the 2nd place credit?!?!?!?!

Well. Good Customer Service. Fair outcome.

Are you suggesting that they should give credits to non first place finishers?  That's just as stupid as the "loser point" in the NHL.

I agree.  I can't wait to see what the almighty MikeT has to say.

I admit it's on me, and I was dumb.  The fact remains that I accidentally discovered a glitch.  How I discovered it is beside the point.  Why should I get punished for it?
I will give you a parallel.  A couple of years ago, I lost one of my best pitchers to a long-term injury.  I had 20/20 in medical and training but he still got wrecked.  Anyway, because his injury spanned two seasons when my end of the year recovery cycle was supposed to hit, he received no recovery whatsoever.  I was super ****** because he was practically ruined even though I did everything right to maximize recovery.

This was the original injury bug that many of you probably still remember.  I know I didn't have the only ticket that was sent in but I fought pretty ferociously with CS who continued to insist there was nothing wrong.  Some players never get a recovery . . . blah, blah, blah.  I never backed down and crushed their arguments one by one.  Finally, they kicked the ticket upstairs to tzentmeyer after I discussed it in the forums.  Do you know what happened?  He found the bug in the system.  Do you want to know what my reward was?

Nothing.  No recovery.  No retroactive boost.  Just a dead pitcher.  It sucked but I moved on.  And the bug was corrected.

And I did everything right, didn't try to game the system.  I will pretty ****** with them if they cave on this situation.
They should have given you 5 bucks and sent you on your way it seems

Why would I care how WifS spends their money?   I just didn't want them giving you recovery points for your pitcher because it opens the door for everyone to complain when they don't get recovery points.

I knew you couldn't bring yourself to say that you are happy for me.
3/9/2012 1:50 PM
I wouldn't be happy for me.   It's $5.    I don't go "HELL YEAH!!!! 4TH PLACE CREDIT!!!!!" when my team sucks balls.
3/9/2012 1:59 PM
4 bucks is 4 bucks.  I look to take on replacement jobs because they usually have a strong chance of finishing fourth.
3/9/2012 2:02 PM
But, yeah when it's a team of my own I'm not thinking of the credit - I'm bummed about my ****** team

Even though it's only $5, I'm happy because they acknowledged the goof.  It means more than just the money.

Errrrr, these sort of contradict one another:

"4 bucks is 4 bucks.  I look to take on replacement jobs because they usually have a strong chance of finishing fourth."
"Even though it's only $5, I'm happy because they acknowledged the goof.  It means more than just the money."
