Blatant Use of 60 Day DL Glitch Topic

An owner in my league had the best pitcher in the league get injured for the entire season last year. He recovered over the course of the season to the point where he returned to his previous form. Then when the world flipped the pitcher still had a few days left (20 or so, he was healthy again by spring trading) injured so he readded him to the 60 day DL and got another injury recovery bonus.

Now we're 25 games into the season and this pitcher continues to sit on the 60 day DL despite being healthy. The team is in a weak division + has a stacked team anyway through n00b raping. So hes 20-3 without him anyway. Should an owner be allowed to abuse this glitch?

What should i do?

Have a vote about making up a rule banning this type of behaviour from your world.  If your world mates vote in favour of said rule, and this guy doesn't remove this pitcher from the DL, don't allow him to return next season.

If n00b-raping is tolerated in this world, then look for a new world to play in.

This is a bigger problem:  "The team is in a weak division + has a stacked team anyway through n00b raping."

Let it go. The pitcher will still get older. If the owner is dumb enough to give up a year of that guy for an extra rating point or two...so be it.

And I don't want to hear "he doesn't need him". He could be using one of his other pitchers as noob rape bait.

So I guess this glitch wasn't fixed like WIS said...

From my experience it has been greatly watered down. I've tried using it on some players and the results are both uneven and fairly minor.

That is correct.  You'll see an oddball every now and then that gets several recovery bumps but now it's 1-2.  The first usually gets the player pretty close to where he was.  The 2nd may improve him.

And sometimes you still get this guy:  David Rojas

Yep.  The "oddball".

What the term "n00b raping" mean?

Noob raping is finding a guy with a zero or one next to his name which means hes a noob. Then said raper insists on trading his declining 30 year old starter or LF In the midst of a five year 17 million dollar deal in exchange for excellent young prospects

Sometimes coupled with the rapist selling the trade to the victim by saying "I'm probably going to end up regretting giving up so much to you . . .".

Extra points if he tries to sell the trade by saying he is giving up the best player, because the guy has the highest OVR rating, and the guy is a pitcher with 100 stamina and 20 control.
