Trying a disaster ML rebuild (NEW) Topic

What he needs is enough experience to know that his SS is kick-*** on his own.  Until he gets his eye for talent developed, he should refrain from trading altogether (prospects or vets)

Yeah, but this typical noob behavior: come in thinking the game is easy to figure out, announce that they have big plans to remake the franchise (and, surprise, this almost always includes a complete tear down), make horrible trades that are either borderline abusive or just plain abusive, sign some bad contracts, and then whine when their team sucks the hind *** for three seasons. In good worlds this type of noob behavior is treated with a mixture of derision and kid gloves (as in, "no, I will not trade rape you")...in a typical world the noob is pounced on, drained of pretty much all talent at every level, and then left twisting in the wind.

Im not thinking im gonna do this in a season, look at my topic "trying" a disaster rebuild. I think ive listened and learned a bit not to get "raped in trades. Im taking deans outlook on trying this from his youtube videos. I did load my players on the spreadsheet and saw buckly was the 2nd best player on the team behind a lower level player i may call up to the majors.

trading for young players doesnt require adv.  It requires research.  You look at the prospect in question see when and who drafted him.  Look at that owners history, is his scouting great, good or bad?  With some experience and research you can determine pretty well if a prospect is likely to be good with even 0 advance.  If you are unsure about a prospect dont give up much for him... if a prospect is a sure fire, expect to give up a lot for him, but he is quite likely worth it.

I dont know why your nauds are in a wad, nauds... a fringe ML'er and a filler rp for a decent set up guy looks fine.

oh my god... I'm beginning to think this thread is an elaborate joke
Tell me what was wrong with that trade. I think I got a great 29 Year Old pitcher for two pitchers with their VsR in the 50s

While I don't think their is anything wrong with that trade on a talent level, the guy you got isn't great, and seems a bit overpriced for 5.6mm. But thats tough to assess without understanding how the world plays.
