Trying a disaster ML rebuild (NEW) Topic

I wont use anyone as a closer, the video i watched said closer roles dont get nearly enough innings so im gonna use all SUA and SUB guys with low stamina.

You paid too much for Francisco.  I hope that was a one-year deal.

The last two signings for the Rainiers just signed and we got some more very good pitching added to the team.

I was just curious what made you pick Tacoma. Did you feel like your team could perform better in those factors than elsewhere?

Havent osted in about a week but with Free Agency over and spring training going on, not much to talk about. Here is the four guys I did sign in the FA market this season though.

How well did I do by getting these 4 guys?

First of all, where are you picking in the draft? Was it upprotected?

He picks 5th or 6th in the draft.

Those look like good free agent signings for a team that is a contender already.  If the rest of the team is crap, it makes the team better, but you're spending 35 M more to make the team a bit less crappy.

Buckley should be signed to a 5 year deal if he's reasonable right now.  That will carry him until he's 31.    He might start to fall off defensively then.
I'm a newbie and I'm confused. Why are you guys so high on Clay? Is it because of his defense? I'm looking at his rightie split and he looks like he won't be very good offensively.

Hey peanut,

Defensive SSs are such a hot commodity, and they are CRAZY hard to find if you want them to at least be an average batter. Clay Buckley won't be a spectacular bat, but he will be better than the vast majority of the starting SSs in the world. Unless someone sacrificed defense, it will be hard to find a better player.

He's an above average SS who has a career OPS of .797 over several seasons.   You don't find many players like him.   And, yes, his RH split is horrible but, again, he's OPS'd .797 in that world.   That is outstanding for a player with his defensive ratings.    He'd get 12m or more in the open market in most worlds.
