Been kicking this around.   Not 100% sure I'd be willing to do it but that doesn't matter if no one else is interested.

The basics:
5-6 owners take a team in a public-y world(meaning it could be private with no rules/screening process).
All teams must be in AL or NL.

The objective:
Completely turn over personnel to "make it your own".
In S5, the game begins and is over after S8.
Beat the other participants senseless.
A points system that would include record, head to head, playoffs and WS wins would be used to determine the winner.

How you achieve the objective is up to you.  n00b-raping, tanking, anything but collusion.  You know, the standard MO in 'tard worlds.   But you cannot use a player who was on your roster when the game begins in the 5th season.

Would anyone be interested in the TWC?   It would mean what amounts to an 8 season committment unless you cry "uncle" before them.   Maybe a GC prize from the rest to the winner.

Like I said, only played a couple real seasons that weren't takeovers. And I am fairly new anyhow, only been playing since October.

Im not sure I fully understand but I may be interested.  How do we roll the roster over.  Trading, waiving or not resigning players?  And it has to have 100% player turnover or just ml players?  Im all for noob raping but not for guys having to teams in the same world thats cheating and b.s.  Also is it the whole world doing it or just a few guys?  I like the idea of it if its the entire world.  But then again I may not qualify.

Let's see, 5 (or 6) pompous A-holes join a league that in their infinite wisdom they  have deemed "tard". They then take this world, that already has obvious problems and fubar it, or at least 5 or 6 teams, to the extreme. Meanwhile, they are so admired there is no problem convincing  27 (or any combination of) others to invest 200 bucks to keep the world filled in order to provide the support they need so they can prove, what exactly?

You would think after 16000 posts a guy  would realize the fulfillment, gratification, fame, reward, whatever it is he seeks, is probably not on this forum, and if it is, he is in need of  some serious help. Thanks and good luck with your quest.

Yeah, getting five or six veteran owners to commit to eight seasons in an already damaged world and building competitive franchises sure sounds like a terrible thing to do.

A revolving door of n00bs surely is a better alternative.

And, since you got a little sidetracked, the proposal is to join a public world or a private world that has no rules beyond what WifS enforces and has no screening process.   In short, worlds that always need owners.    It would be awesome if you were in one of those worlds.

brianp, you would not be able to use any player on your current roster, BL or minors, on Day 1 when Season 5 begins.   You would only be able to use players you acquire in your first 4 seasons.  That would apply to BL roster only.  No one cares what you do with minor league filler.  How you make that happen doesn't really matter.  I imagine you'd want to trade anyone with value rather than release or not re-sign.    After all, you're trying to build a team for S5.
