Or you post a player, say you're looking for prospects only, and you get offered three old farts making zillions.

Or you reject the players offered and you get an angry TC telling you your player isn't that good anyways, and you're an idiot for rejecting said offer, to which I usually counter, then why were you willing to deal your three "studs" for my "lousy" player? Never get a response to that one.

Or they try and frame it like they are doing you a huge favor with their lousy offer, something along the lines of "I see you are in  rebuild, i will send you these three young, fringe MLers, for your best prospect, this will give you a good start on the future" or "You look to be a contender, here take these old, expensive, marginal (with a crappy prospect) guys I don't want, and I will take your best player from you."

No doubt on that last part Cam. Or the ones, looks like you need a 2B and the player can barely play LF. 

My absolute favorite time of the rollover season is this inevitable generic post on the world chat: "Looking for All-Star quality pitchers and a hitters with power in the 90's and high splits"  

No-**** Sherlock, everybody in the league is looking for that.

In the 30+ seasons I've been around I have not yet seen a season go by without that post being made.

Yeah that's a good one. "I need SP with high 80's splits and two pitches above 90 and the rest above 80" Followed by 10 player cards they're willing to trade, none of which amount to a hill of beans. 

Post your Turd Day followed by "Not looking for much".

Turd Posting Day is always good for a laugh.  Sometimes there are multiple Turd Post Days when you're after rollover and the newbie to the world takes a 2-minute look at roster before telling us he's "happy to be here - anyone making over 350K is available.  Looking for prospects.  Serious offers only please.....lather.....rinse....repeat".

I'm sure I'm one of these guys you're talking about. I took over my team this year and immediately traded the four worthwhile players left on it, I'm sure for nothing more than mediocre AAA guys.

There's a thread in this forum that says I'm not keeping very many secrets to myself.     Assuming, of course, you were addressing me.

I don't think anybody here really keeps their secrets to themselves.

I share all of my secrets with everyone.  A small % of people (mostly those not in the same world as me) listen and everybody else disregards my advice.

My trick is to post a respectable 12th man so I really stand out from the crowd and then rape ensues.

If you think players are keeping their knowledge secret, you really need to spend some time reading through the forums. Thousands of pages of secrets have been accidentally posted.
