3rd season in HBD, do my guys have a shot at making their first playoff run?  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Milwaukee Beermakers Franchise Profile.  If not, what are they missing (aside from "upgraded talent across the board")?  I think the starting pitching has been playing above projections, the bullpen underwhelming and the offense/defense about what was to be expected, but what do I know, it's my 3rd season!

What do you think of this guy?

With 14adv, I see his final batting line at 70-80-55-66-84. I can get him for a #4 pitcher, but I'm scared of that health rating.

I don't really know how your world plays but your team lacks power and good SP.   Your COF are horrible but they are your best bats so they have to play.  You need a 2B that can field the ball.   But you're 7 games over .500 near the mid-point.    I'd try to upgrade D and SP.

A SP4 isn't much but you have to determine if he'll be a CF since he's LH.   If not, he's just an average COF if he reaches those numbers you posted.    With the low health, I wouldn't bother.

He's not a CF. thanks for the advice.

That is not a question.   He's not worth fooling with if he's a COF/1B.   And he's been injured a couple of times this season already so he'll never make his projections, IMO.

By my COF being horrible, do you mean that they aren't good enough on d, or that their bats aren't good enough to be COF?  Or both?  For reference:

Also, would you recommend promoting these 2 guys from AAA for the stretch run or let them finish the season in the minors and bring them up after 20 games next season?

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Jeremie Aubrey  is entering arb #3 so it's time to sign to a long term deal.  But he wants 8.5 mil for five seasons... think thats a bit much?

They are weak defensively.  LF moreso than RF because a rock can play RF.
If you're in the hunt and you think they'll help you make the playoffs, I'd call them up.

Thx and two more.  Would switching Bradley to LF and Masato to RF help?  I want to bring Radke up for his bat, but I'm worried that his low PC will hurt the starting pitching that has played over their heads.  Will the difference between his PC (52) and my current starter (80) and backup (89) be a big difference maker to my shaky pitching, or is the bat worth the 30 pt difference in PC?

How do you know how much a player will ask for in arbitration?  They have the amount listed for what they want long term.   Im having a serious brain cramp during budgeting.

What kind of ballpark would you put this team in?
7/3/2012 6:41 PM
LF gets more opportunities.  I'd make the switch.
PC affects OAV.   So, yes, it will hurt your pitching.  Only you can decide if the bat's worth it.

You don't.   I just ballpark it.   1-2m in first arb.  4-6m in the 2nd arb.

Looks like you have some decent power but the pitching staff doesn't suppress homers very well.   One of those things has to change.

ok. so i go with a relatively small college/high school budget on my teams to use the $ elsewhere. how does my team decide to draft someone in the lower round of the drafts that was not scouted by us in one round and then draft someone who WAS scouted by us in the next? wouldn't it make more sense to at a certain point draft everyone we can see and then start drafting unknowns?

It's based on your settings.  You've got targeted positions and "weights" attached to them.  Whether you see a guy or not, he still has a position.

I didn't notice anything different in the Fair Play Guidelines relative to HBD. Did you?
