When you could set a Tandem A at a 5 pitch TPC, I tended to agree.  Now that you have to set them for at least 40, meh.

Does setting the pull rating to 5 get a guy in faster?

After the starter is set for the next game you can change him to a Setup role and then put him back down to 5 pitches again for his start.  Hopefully WIS will fix this someday.

Even better yet, once this strategy is put into place and you start beating said team, exploding on WC and TC with name calling and accusations of cheating is pretty classy.  Especially considering he has only ever been treated with respect over the course of two seasons.

Just another disgruntled, bitter opponent vs. Rangerup.

By definition, of course, but I can't imagine you're going to get a tandem guy pulled that early without him giving up runs.

Right, but then you lose the tandem setup so you're not in full control of who comes in afterwards.  I suppose you could probably setup your relievers to make absolutely sure you get the guy you want, and yes, that's doing an end run around the system which I'd have an issue with.  But I've got no problem with using tandems in the way described by the OP- they've been a part of the game since it's inception and obviously aren't going away.

Got pending reviewed again for nothing against the rules.  I tandem started my pitching, he lost two games in a row in the WS and started personal attacks on me unprovoked for using Bush League tactics.

Unless you count using the tandem function as bush, then I am guilty as charged.

Bush League?  I bet that world would be called Mission Accomplished!

Got pending reviewed again, for stating that I used tandem pitching  to beat him, and he threw a fit over it, and calling me all sorts of names.

What if an owner pitched two same handed pitchers in tandem? Would that be considered a BS move as well or is it only BS if the two pitchers are opposite handed?
8/18/2012 11:29 PM
BS would be an opposite-handed tandem with the SP set to come out after a few pitches, which would be an obvious attempt to deceive rather than to just use two low-DUR starters. Why would anyone complain about same-handed tandem?

IMO its just opposite handed.. But I don't think many agree with me..

IMO It's against the "spirit of the game", especially when used in the playoffs.
