Low health players and their eventual usage Topic

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Julio Lopez is my example of this type, and I've been surprised and very pleased with him.  I spent a decent amount on him as an IFA a bit late in the year to make sure I got some value.  I had figured on more Injury issues than I've had, and he has already had one outstanding ML season for a World Champ team, so I already consider him a success.
I don't use him any differently than any other player.... rest him when he starts to sag below 100%, and I will 60-day DL him any time he is injured with "the right type of injury" since I have 20/20 Training/Medical.

Hehe.  Yeah, Gandarillas has a "groin strain" in ST.    Had it been something else, I probably 60 day him and he's not on my BL team until next year.  But that injury wasn't the "right type of injury" to make it worthwhile.

The neck or back injury that helps power, or almost any arm injury to a pitcher.

Of course, put him on the 60-day, and he'll be John Holmes.  :)

So he'll be a junkie taking part in murders on Waveland Ave?

Minor finger and forearm injuries are the **** for both pitchers and hitters, from a "glitch" manipulation standpoint.

I love that 12 day injury that costs a point in VR to a 3rd year pro in the minors.

Hitter like that, I'd push his wheelchair around like he was Mike Vick.

Lol, he lasted on AB.  Damn, that's a bizarre sequence.

And he got a hit!  So it's the running that's a problem, right?

Maybe the 29 baserunning stands for 29 feet.

Any position player that receives a 7-14 day injury ( since 7 is the number that makes them take a hit in ratings) I put on the 15day DL anyways. My theory is I have to rest them at some point in the season anyways as most players are 80 DUR...so why not just sit him out 3 extra games and have him get the 15day DL recovery bump.

From my experience, you only get a 15 day DL recovery bump if you have 20 mill in Medical (maybe as low as 18, but I don't think so).

wait... so the "glitch" is that if a guy has an injury that affects his ratings, you can put him on the 60-day DL and leave him there the whole season & he'll keep getting "recovery" bumps...?
