Bynum's suspended for the first 5 games for accidentally running into Barea a bit too hard last season.

Had no idea the Murphy option was actually being explored.  As an Irish homer, I was hoping it would be.  He's only 30 (better than last season's ancient BU 'bigs") and only 1 season removed from 15 & 10.  If anybody can get him to play D, it's Kobe and Brown.  Pull the trigger already.

that's just it - this is a cash dump - they didnt want to take on the salaries

Anyone want to bet that Kaman will be around after this season?

they get that pick and a promising young player in Gordon - the pick could be something special or not - but what they really get is a 29m payroll starting next year

so David Stern's 'basketball reasons' are complete nonsense - this is a cash dump plain and simple - just like letting West go without trying to resign the second best player on the team was a cash dump

this is not about putting a good product on the floor for the Hornets fans, this is about selling the team and if so fine but call it what it is which Stern cant or wont
zzzzzz delusional fan is delusional

mcroberts is a huge *****, btw.  he's OK as a warm body but you'll grow to hate him before long.

does the delusional fanbase include the commentators who were this morning postulating that even Gordon might not be around for long? no
does that fanbase include Bill Simmons? no
is this Hornets team this season as good as it would have been with the previous trade? no
will they resign Kaman? no
did they resign West? no
did I just pull the 29m out of thin air? no

McRoberts is a decent 15-20 minutes off the bench - as a stand alone for the min-mle he's fine - Im not expecting anything more

I forgot about Barea's body running into Bynum like that.

Posey has cleared waivers - worth a look or WU?
12/15/2011 9:36 PM
Posey's been toast ever since he signed the big deal with NOLA, you surely can find somebody better.  Although the Celtics signed Pavlovic, so maybe not?

FWIW last year he shot almost exclusively 3's (212 of 241 FGAs) and only hit 31.6%, might be a sign that there's not much left in the tank.

I agree, but he's one of the few players I disliked rooting for at Duke.  Maybe he's toughened up a bit since, because he was pretty good last year.

LOB CITY.

OH NOES, KOBE GETTING DIVORCED.

I predict Kobe will shoot 42% this season.
12/16/2011 10:06 PM

Now actively looking for three-holers.
12/16/2011 11:23 PM
That's the last straw.  Blow it up.  I know others would need shipped-out to make it work, but send Kobe "home" to Philly (maybe get Young, Meeks, Vucevic & Turner) and Gasol to Houston (get Martin, Montiejunas, Dragic & picks).  Get a bunch of younger, more athletic, cheaper players, evaluate them for a year, then surround them with a FA or two.  Turner/Dragic/Morris - Martin/Meeks/Goldelock - Young/Barnes/Ebanks - McRoberts/Montiejunas - Bynum/Vucevic
