how bad does Fisher have to play to get yanked?
I thought Fisher died like two years ago so pretty much I will be playing past retirement.  I think since Fish came into the league with Kobe he probably thinks he should go out with him too.

Let's hope he doesn't torture us all by opting in for his $3.4 mill. next season.  If he tries that, the Lakers need to offer him a $3.5 mill. FO job.

I think he'd make a fine bench coach and cant wait to see him in a suit

There's plenty of footage of Fisher in a suit helping bring the NBA season to near-cancellation.

Have Goudelock or Blake been better?

LA needs to go ahead and get a Sessions type ASAP.

actually yes - totally - both have been significantly better - Goudelock actually is averaging more ppg in less minutes over the last 6 games and blake back only two games is yes too -for instance  if you saw yesterday's game you may have seen Michael Jordan/Jose Calderon and then just Jose Calderon

but I dont disagree with you - they need to get a competent starting PG more than anything else and they can probably do that without breaking the bank

I keep wondering if they're trying to get Jamison included in a Sessions trade.  It would probably take both 1st round picks next season, or a 1st each of the next two seasons to get that done.  As long as they can stay a few games above .500 and in a Playoff spot, I'm sure that kind of deal won't happen until the deadline.  Quite honestly, I think a line-up of Sessions/Bryant/Jamison/Gasol/Bynum might be the best "realistic" team they can get for this season.  They would then need to resign those guys, but that option doesn't leave the glaring line-up hole(s) this season that trading for some others would.

I dont see how we make Jamison's money work - he's making 15m this season

and his greatest value to the cavs is that he has an expiring contract

Walton and picks (+TPE) for Sessions and Varejao on the other hand?

Sweet jesus you're delusional if the you think that Cavs would do anything like that.

The Lakers have no one besides their big 3 that are worthwhile for anyone to trade for.

Varejao's probably done for the season, or most of it, plus he's locked-up for a couple more seasons, so I don't see Cleveland trading him without getting Gasol or Bynum, so that's probably out.

Why wouldn't Cleveland do something like that?  Get a 1st round pick in exchange for a guy who's going to play 12-15 minutes when their BC is healthy, and get another 1st round pick (and save millions in salary this season even if they have to take Luke back) in exchange for a guy obviously not in their future plans, which enables their younger guys to play.

I doubt anybody's stealing Varejao.  Would be a weird time to trade for him anyway.

You can argue that Goudelock and/or Blake have been a bit better, but not so much that it's a travesty that Fisher is still starting.  Goudelock is prob your best PG though, which is sort of embarrassing.  Things will be much better if your PG depth chart is Sessions > Goudelock > Blake and Fish is an assistant coach.

When you say Fish are you talking about Abe Vigoda?

why would the cavs want a to hold onto a mediocre journeyman for the next 4 years when they're in full rebuild mode? I think you're delusional about the actual value of Varejao

Fisher made Calderon look like Michael Jordan yesterday - Brown pulled him 6 minutes into the second half and never put him back in - that was the best coaching Ive seen from Mike Brown ever

When you call Varejao a "mediocre journeyman" you're making yourself look like a dumbass.
well let's see - he's a 30 year old career 10-10 guy who has no offensive game to speak of, plays good positional defense but isnt a great help defender, decent on the boards, locked in for 3 seasons at 25m with a team option of another 10m in 14/15 - he's the kind of guy who can help a contender but does absolutely nothing for a young team in full rebuild - that's what he is - and by the way he's out indefinitely with a wrist fracture so the hits keep on coming - so what am I missing?
