Come on felonius, everybody knows the NBA's fixed for the Lakers.  Why do you think they got Chris Paul?  Wait, I mean Dwight Howard.  No, no, I mean Deron Williams.
33 yr old Pau + the worst player on the Mavs for CP3.

Can't imagine why that didn't go down....

this just in: Andrew Bynum, western conference player of the week
"Great"; now Kobe will never pass him the ball.
Talk about not watching.  Kobe never has passed him the ball.

also he clearly hasnt watched Kobe this year at all - especially in the last several weeks Kobe has been going to the hole with frequency

love it when someone who clearly didnt watch the game and cant call out any bad calls still cries about the refs
and clearly none of LA's opponents have gone to the basket, right?

you're such a silly goose, badja

Bet Stern wishes he had taken that deal now, as the "better" one he orchestrated has turned-out to be garbage.  Oh wait, there's a ton of salary cap.  That's what every N.O. fan has been rooting for and coming out to see.  Can't imagine why nobody wants to buy the team.
3/20/2012 11:09 AM
No, the deal that would have been garbage was Scola/Odom/Martin

Gordon's been hurt and the Wolves' pick became a mid-1st rounder, but it's the far more valuable package to a rebuilding team that is doomed to the lottery regardless.

FWIW I think the Hornets would be better with Gordon healthy than they would have been with that pupu platter of dogshit

3/20/2012 12:02 PM
If this, if that - as it is, the Hornets will probably end-up with one pick and a bum of a young guy instead of 4 proven players (you forgot Dragic) and a pick.
3/20/2012 1:18 PM
lol at calling EG a bum of a young guy because he got hurt.

it's a lot better than overpaid bums of old guys.  Odom's terribleness has been well documented this year, and Scola and KevMart have been amazingly bad under the radar.  They all have big contracts and cumulatively should carry negative (or at best neutral) trade value.   Dragic is a decent young backup PG- whoop dee friggin doo.  That Rockets/Lakers deal was the AIDS from the get go, but the pick + EG only turned out to be bad in retrospect.  And Gordon is still only 23 so I don't see where we are jumping to conclusions that this is going to end his career as a useful player.

No, Gordon walks along with Kaman.  That leaves N.O. with Aminu (the young bum) and a pick.  Even in your distorted world, that can't possibly be better than 4 proven players, especially for a team that already has almost zero fan base and is looking for an owner.  Nobody wants to come watch a rotten team, and nobody wants to buy a team with no assets - except you apparently.

Why would NO ever let Gordon walk?

Pau's 31 and would have been playing on the Rockets who would have thrown Martin and Scola and Dragic plus picks in with what at worst and this is with the benefit of hindsight is a 9m expiring contract (and without benefit of hindsight which is a ***** isnt it? would have been the reigning 6th man of the year)

last week any idiot could have turned those pieces into more cap space and more picks than they're going to wind up with in their current situation

and again did you watch the game?

why would he stay? you really think a 5m QO is going to keep him there? or do you think the Hornets match when someone else offers him market price? at this point would that even be smart?

they gave up Paul for a couple picks and cap space - I think they could have gotten more than that flipping the pieces from the first deal last week

It's not like Gordon tore his ACL, NO will (and should) match whatever offer sheet Gordon brings back.
