Lots of nice changes and some no doubt folks (though not me) will complain about. I wonder if they'll do a Dev Chat before the release?

# 009 Players and Teams
# Relative fielding percentage (similar to how we do relative range factor)
# Able to view and filter relative range factor and relative fielding percentage in the player search
# Corrections to log5 values in player search where lower is better (think OAV#, etc.)
# New salary formula (adjustments for pitcher hitting, relative fielding percentage, hitter/pitcher balance, PA cap, catcher Arm, etc.)
# Adjustment to the Tournament of Champions payout to a $150 - $50 - $25 - $25 structure
# New minimum IP/162 and PA/162 for non-theme leagues. These will be enforced at the time of draft, waivers and trades.
# A cap on plate appearances per game will be introduced so only the first 6 PA in a game will count toward seasonal fatigue
# Improvements to the +/- distribution
# Improvements to the rate of triples hit
# Adjustments to the effects fatigue has on performance
# New theme commish page (with CSV) including actual stats of all players in league by team to help with policing and verifying teams
# Player name and season broken apart into two columns on several pages to help with CSV exporting
# Progressive League Play: first year players are now eligible for the ROY
# Progressive League Play: new career totals and career leaders to Team Stats and League Leaders
# Progressive League Play: new page for career team and owner records
# Lineup page now maintains attemped settings rather than reset to active after a failed save

Don't like that one. A minimum of 900IP would be cool to protect us from those 2-160 teams, but I don't see the point of anything higher than that.
And I don't understand minimum PAs at all. What does that do, other than shrink an already small database? I usually draft 4300 or so PAs for an 80mil cap, and play 161 or 162 meaningful games. I hope this cap is set at 4000 PAs if they insist on using one.

...it'll be a lot higher than those numbers...

Improvements to the +/- distribution

...this could be a huge change for ongoing leagues...if all those D range fielders suddenly start getting all the minus plays they deserve (and vice versa), it could turn leagues upside down overnight...

My team of DHs will be worthless.

I think this means that we're moving back closer to 50/50. That should cure many of the issues with people complaining about walks being broken.

I wonder how much the pitching Babe Ruths and Bob CAruthers will go up in price

How high do you suppose it will go? I'd be okay with 5000PAs and 1300IP or so.

Cool. I hope they're able to use the already stored records, so that prog leagues that have been linking for a number of seasons now will have career records stretching back farther than when this change is implemented.

what does this refer to

My best guess is that when you set a lineup and accidentally have 2 LF or 2 guys batting 7th, it will throw an error message, but keep all the information that you manually edited, allowing you to more easily change the LF to RF or the 7 to a 6. It will keep you from having to start all over with your changes like you would have to now.

that would be a good one! i hate swapping eight guys into the lineup and forgetting to change a fielding position

Maybe K-out will have usefulness then?
